Entity Finance Specialist
The Entity Finance Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of the company's financial records and reporting. The role plays a key part in overseeing month-end closing activities, balance sheet reviews, statutory financial statements, and external audit requirements while ensuring compliance with IFRS, corporate accounting standards, and local regulatory requirements.
This position works closely with Finance teams, Global Business Services (GBS), and cross-functional stakeholders to maintain strong financial controls, deliver timely and accurate reporting, and drive continuous process improvements that support business performance and compliance.
As an Entity Finance Specialist, you will:
• Oversee month-end closing activities performed by GBS and ensure timely resolution of accounting issues.
• Perform analytical reviews of Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss accounts to identify risks, variances, and improvement opportunities.
• Review and prepare management and corporate accounting reports, including quarterly CFO reporting requirements.
• Lead the preparation of statutory financial statements and ensure compliance with IFRS and local reporting requirements.
• Coordinate external audit activities and manage audit requests in partnership with Deloitte and internal stakeholders.
• Conduct monthly balance sheet analysis and account reconciliation reviews, highlighting key business and financial risks.
• Partner with Tax, Treasury, Supply Chain, Sales Finance, and other business functions on accounting, reporting, and compliance-related matters.
• Support intercompany transactions, tax reporting requirements, provisions, and other entity finance activities.
• Identify opportunities for automation, process optimization, and continuous improvement to enhance efficiency and control effectiveness.
• Drive adherence to global accounting policies, internal controls, and governance standards.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA qualification is preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, external audit, or entity finance within a multinational environment.
• Experience in statutory financial statement preparation and external audit management.
• Strong understanding of IFRS accounting standards and financial reporting requirements.
• Basic knowledge of Philippine corporate taxation and regulatory requirements.
• Experience driving process improvement and automation initiatives.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of SAP ERP and SAP BW is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
