EHS Lead
- Lead and own the strategic direction of the EHS function across JTI PH Market's nationwide and GBS Manila.
- Define the EHS vision, governance framework, and program standards that guide EHS Managers and Safety Officers in delivering regulatory compliance and strong safety performance.
- Manage the overall EHS department budget and drive EHS culture at all levels by partnering with senior leadership and key business functions.
- Serve as the organization's senior EHS authority, representing the function in leadership forums, regulatory engagements, and external audits.
- Collaborate closely with People & Culture and other business functions to ensure EHS is embedded in how the organization takes care of its people and manages its operations.
As the EHS Lead you will:
1) EHS strategy and program leadership
- Define and lead EHS strategy aligned with corporate priorities.
- Establish frameworks, governance, and standards across all sites.
- Set KPIs, track performance, and advise leadership using data insights.
- Approve policies/programs, manage budget, and oversee contractors and clinic providers.
2) EHS performance management and continuous improvement
- Monitor performance, identify issues, and drive corrective actions.
- Lead post-incident reviews and apply learnings across the organization.
- Oversee audits, ensure closure of findings, and benchmark best practices.
- Ensure quality and availability of EHS data for reporting.
3) Regulatory compliance and risk governance
- Serve as senior authority on EHS compliance and regulations.
- Own risk register and ensure mitigation strategies are in place.
- Monitor regulatory changes and advise leadership on impact.
- Lead regulatory engagements and ensure audit readiness.
4) Environmental compliance and sustainability
- Ensure environmental compliance, permits, and reporting across all sites.
- Support sustainability initiatives with EHS expertise and data.
5) Cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement
- Partner with key teams (e.g., Fleet, General Services) to embed EHS in operations.
- Represent EHS in leadership forums and manage internal/external stakeholders.
- Oversee communication plans and external engagements.
6) People management
Recruit, develop, and lead the EHS team.
7) Other
Manage various tasks and projects as they arise and upon manager’s request.
Who are we looking for:
Education: Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant field; advanced degree is an advantage
Language Skills: Fluent in oral and written English and Filipino
Experience:
- Significant, progressive EHS management experience with a proven track record of leading EHS teams in a multi-site environment.
- Demonstrated experience developing and executing EHS strategy at an organizational level.
- Strong working knowledge of Philippine environmental regulations and compliance requirements (DENR, LGU, and applicable national standards).
- Experience influencing senior leadership and embedding EHS priorities into business culture and operations.
- Demonstrated experience managing regulatory relationships and representing organizations during inspections and audits.
- Background in EHS data governance, performance reporting, and translating data into strategic decisions.
- Experience in logistics, field operations, or similarly high-risk industries is a strong advantage given the nature of JTI PH Market operations.
- Experience managing department budgets and third-party provider relationships.
