M&S Data Governance Manager
We’re looking for an M&S Data Governance Manager to help roll out JTI’s enterprise Data Governance Framework across Marketing & Sales, with a focus on Consumer, Customer, and Product data domains. In this role, you will support the development of trusted master data, improve data quality, and enable business-ready data services across the organization.
You will work closely with Business and Digital & IT stakeholders to implement data governance standards, support data-related initiatives, and promote strong data management practices within JTI’s Marketing & Sales landscape.
As an M&S Data Governance Manager, in the area of Digital & IT you will:
- Roll out the enterprise Data Governance Framework across assigned Marketing & Sales data domains, including Consumer, Customer, and Product data.
- Implement and maintain data governance standards, policies, and procedures within the delegated business areas.
- Support data quality, metadata, lineage, and master data governance initiatives to improve trust and usability of business data.
- Explore data governance best practices and evaluate tools, methods, and solutions that can strengthen governance capabilities.
- Collaborate with Business and Digital & IT stakeholders to embed data governance activities into business processes.
- Support the definition of As-Is and To-Be processes related to data governance implementation.
- Train and support stakeholders on JTI data governance practices, standards, and ways of working.
- Manage data governance tasks and projects as they arise and upon manager’s request.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience implementing data governance frameworks and operating models.
- Solid understanding of data governance, data quality, metadata, and data lineage concepts.
- Familiarity with DMBOK principles; CDMP certification is a plus.
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms, preferably Azure Data Services.
- Experience in business analysis, process design (As-Is/To-Be), and project delivery.
- Knowledge of Power BI, Excel, and other data analysis and visualization tools.
- Strong stakeholder management, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in Marketing & Sales data domains or Data Catalog implementation is an advantage.
