Data Engineer Manager

As a Data Engineer Manager, you will design, develop, and manage scalable data solutions that support business intelligence and analytics across Markets & Regions. You will lead the development of end-to-end data pipelines, drive technical excellence within Azure-based data platforms, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, secure, and high-quality data solutions. This role also plays a key part in continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring efficient data operations and supporting Agile delivery practices.

As a Data Engineer Manager, you will:

• Design, develop, maintain, and support end-to-end data pipelines and workflows across Azure-based platforms

• Build scalable, secure, and cost-effective data solutions that meet business requirements and data quality standards

• Lead and contribute to ETL/ELT development, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement activities

• Support platform configuration, deployments, and change promotions across development, testing, and production environments

• Provide technical support for incident resolution, user acceptance testing (UAT), and post-deployment activities

• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, IT teams, and external partners to deliver high-quality data services

• Implement and support CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps to enable efficient deployment and release processes

• Ensure technical documentation, data governance requirements, and engineering standards are maintained and updated

• Drive process improvements, promote engineering best practices, and contribute to service enhancements across the data landscape

• Support people leadership activities, including coaching, mentoring, and professional development of team members where applicable

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

• At least 5 years of experience in data engineering, data modeling, reporting, and data platform development

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Technical Lead capacity, leading Azure-based data engineering initiatives and delivery governance

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure technologies including Azure Data Factory, Data Lake, Databricks, Azure SQL, and SSIS

• Proven experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps

• Strong understanding of SQL, ETL/ELT processes, software development lifecycle, and data architecture concepts

• Exposure to IT architecture and data flows between systems is an advantage

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative, and multicultural environment

• Fluent in written and spoken English
