Anti-illicit Trade Operations Manager
Be part of a top-tier team fighting illegal trade and protecting JTI’s business. As the Anti-Illicit Trade Operations (AITO) Manager, you will play a critical role in securing JTI’s supply chain, combating counterfeiting, and addressing smuggling and illegal distribution across Asia Pacific, with a strong focus on the Philippines. As the Anti-illicit Trade Operations Manager, you will:
Developing intelligence:
- Identify, recruit, and manage Service Providers (SPs) in strict compliance with national laws, JTI Code of Conduct, and company policies.
- Direct investigations through SPs, set clear objectives and methodologies, and gather, assess, and disseminate intelligence to law enforcement agencies (LEAs) or for internal risk management.
Law enforcement liaison (LE)
- Build and enhance relationships with law enforcement, government agencies, and JTI markets.
- Support regional and local teams in preventing diversion and smuggling of JTI products.
- Organize illegal trade awareness sessions for LEAs when required.
Reporting
- Prepare detailed reports and updates on projects, intelligence development, and operational activities.
- Conduct trend analysis and monthly reviews.
- Produce intelligence reports for dissemination to law enforcement and investigation reports to support AITO enquiries.
- Present findings to internal and external audiences to explain AITO strategies and activities.
Internal collaboration:
- Work closely with JTI functions including CA&C, AITO, AITS, QA, IP, Sales, Legal, and other market teams.
- Strengthen internal relationships to support regional and market management and enhance AITO’s reputation.
Budgeting and travel:
- Manage financial expenditures efficiently, ensuring robust planning and control of projects.
- Fulfill reporting obligations and be prepared to travel regularly within the Philippines and to other APAC markets as needed.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Police Science, Criminology, Law, Business, Economics, or other related fields
- Experience in conducting and managing investigations within public or private sector organizations, legal support services, law enforcement operations, or comparable business environments
- Exposure to working with local and regional law enforcement and intelligence agencies is an advantage
- Strong analytical, stakeholder management, and communication skills
- Excellent report writing and presentation skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications or equivalent business tools
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with high integrity
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required
