ACCOUNTS PAYABLE TEAM LEAD

 

Lead a high-performing AP team that keeps JTI’s operations moving. Own end-to-end AP delivery, strengthen controls and compliance, and drive smarter, simpler ways of working through standardization and automation. What You'll Do:

 

  • Lead end-to-end AP delivery: invoice processing, document management, reconciliations, reporting, and AP inquiries
  • Own AP period-end close activities aligned with the closing calendar and IFRS requirements
  • Ensure key P2P account reconciliations, JSOX execution and documentation, and audit readiness
  • Deliver team KPIs (accuracy, timeliness, compliance) and manage escalations with clear action plans
  • Drive continuous improvement: standardize, simplify, and identify automation opportunities
  • Coach, develop, and engage a team of 8–12, building a strong backup and handover culture

 

What We're Looking For:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, with strong AP/P2P fundamentals (3-way match, reconciliations)
  • 3+ years Finance/Accounting experience (preferably P2P) and 3+ years people management experience
  • Confident leading medium-sized teams and driving performance through KPIs
  • Strong stakeholder communication, customer focus, and collaboration across markets/functions
  • SAP HANA experience (Invoice Track/Blackline is a plus), with a high-accuracy, detail-driven mindset
  • Adaptable, improvement-oriented, and demonstrates Our Way behaviors in how you lead and deliver
