We are looking for a 


Trade Marketing Associate


The Trade Marketing Associate will play a key role in enhancing JTI’s competitive position within the BeLux retail universe.

The future incumbent is expected to spend 50% on the field and will be responsible to implement & follow-up efficient commercial tools to sales (Channel & Field) in order to reach the yearly brand targets. 

Key responsibilities will include tools such as developing and implementing successfully trade activation programs, retailer trainings, furniture placements, budget management and cross-functional projects.


Key Responsibilities


Retailers activation programs:


The incumbent will:
- Prepare retailers activation programs focusing on transforming the retailers into brand ambassadors providing their active support to the JTI products (through the field force and JTI Connect),
- Coach/Manage external companies providing support in the development of these actions,
- Full analysis of the results of each program developped, making possible to have a view on results before, during and after action + recommendation for the next actions,
New innovative tools are expected to be developed to contribute further to JTI's growth in BeLux.                                             
Retailers and JTI Trade Marketers training:

Position JTI as a preferred partner for the retailers by improving their professionalism and business knowledge (sales training, store lay-out advice, category advice, etc...)
Provide training to the JTI Trade Marketers in order to enable them to become advisers for their retailers during their visits.                                             
The incumbent will be responsible of the succesfully implement and follow-up the POSM strategy, from negotiating to placement, maintenance and invoicing.                                               
Budget management:


The incumbent will:
- Execute monthly budget updates to have a clear view on the budget (Plan, Spending, Commitments and available amounts)     
- Check the compliance of the cycle activity (or programs) spending vs the planned budget   
- Provide support to the finance Dpt upon their request when relevant
- Assessed critically the ROI of each existing/future tools in order to optimize the department’s investment strategy to contribute to JTI’s objectives.                                                
Cross-functional collaboration:
The incumbent will develop a strong internal collaboration and obtain a deep understanding of all the stakeholders' ways of working and objectives (Legal, Finance, Sales, Marketing, Logistics, CA, P&C) in order to ensure each initiative is matching expectations, requirements and feasibility. 
The incumbent will also take part in multiple cross-functional projects.                                              
The incumbent will ensure all JTI procedures related to new/existing commercial tools preparation/implementation are strictly respected.                                               

 Ideally, you have following profile:


  • Degree in commercial sciences or similar by experience.
  • Fluent English and French or Dutch. Trilingual prefered.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office, Any experience in Project Management/Data Analytics/SAP budget management are assets.
  • Minimum 2 years of work experience as a Trade Marketer and/or in a function focusing on retailers' activation.
