Sales Planning Associate

 

Purpose of the job

The Sales Planning Associate will play a key role to ensure JTI's competitiveness within the BeLux retail universe.

The areas of responsibility are multiple: defining the shops to target by the field force, the type of activities to be performed, the ways to improve field efficiency, the tools to be used or the definition of relevant KPIs are some examples of the importance of each aspect towards the ambitious JTI SOM growth targets.
The incumbent's analytical skills are key for the mentioned aspects, but also to support the whole organization to identify the opportunities quickly and allow them to act efficiently on them.
Being organized to be able to keep a global picture of all activities with different timings or targets is key to succeed in the position too.

 

What will you do?

 

Sales Cycle
The incumbent will:

  • Be involved before the sales cycle start in preparing the planning, objectives, KPIs and qualitative supporting material for our Trade Marketeers to execute impactful visits & activites.
  • Follow-up during the sales cycle on KPIs and adapt in case of unexpected changes.
  • Close the sales cycle reporting in due time.

Tools : The incumbent will use and optimize all tools used by the field force to ensure clarity and proper execution of needed tasks (roadbook, sales cycle briefing, weekly updates, result dashboards, etc.)            


Cross-functional work & field force intelligence

  • The incumbent will need to collaborate successfully with several departments, such as Trade marketing, Field Force, Key account, Marketing, Strategy & Insights, Information Systems, etc.
  • He/She will be the direct contact person for those departments to plan the sales cycles and also to support them when they need field support or analyses based on field/sales data.
  • Cross-functional projects will also be in scope.

                        
Trade Segmentation - Annual coverage & Frequency
The incumbent will:

  • Monitor and evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of the trade segmentation strategy.
  • Transfer visits between areas to keep the focus on the priority outlets.
  • Lead and coordinate the annual territory update.                                            

                                

Data support & KPI monitoring
The incumbent will:

  • Design and update reports on the Field Force business drivers: coverage, distribution, database, cycle-related programs and KPIs in order to have a close monitoring on the cycle performance versus set targets.
  • Actively gather data (from different angles and perspectives) on all field KPI's, analyzing and transforming this information into knowledge in order to define and further finetune our FF strategies with the purpose of installing competitive advantage at the POS.
  • Support and empower the trade marketeers & their managers in building their area and district business plans.                                            

 

Procedures

  • The incumbent will ensure all JTI procedures related to new/existing commercial tools preparation/implementation are strictly respected.

 

Who are we looking for?

  • Bachelor education - Master would be a plus in fields such as Economics or Engineering 
  • 2-3 years of experience in an analytical and/or coordination function would be a plus
  • Able to communicate in French + Dutch + English (perfection classes can be provided)     
  • Analytical mindset and skills to define the needed analysis and extract value from it.
  • Comfortable with Excel while learning other reporting/analytical tools (Power BI, Oracle BI).
  • Organized and able to maintain a clear global picture while multiple stakeholders are involved
