Position purpose:
The position is responsible for analyzing key market landscape and consumer trends in the Oral category to ensure that the JTI portfolio and commercial plans are developed and executed to support the delivery of strategies and tactics for growth in the must-win Oral category. The candidate must understand the business and financial drivers needed to unlock profitable share growth for JTI Oral brands, and will work closely with marketing, sales, and finance teams in the development of plans to deliver our annual target.
What will you do - Responsibilities:

  • Understand the market dynamics/consumer insights by channel to participate in marketing & sales strategic decisions.
  • Play a key role within the multi-categories/multi-brands teams, by providing accurate, and relevant market and channel information that will lead to business opportunities such as product innovations, customer/consumer promotions, portfolio, pricing, and route to market amongst others that will lead to achieving multi categories targets.
  • Act as a key point of contact within several functions as the category expert; providing sales trends, market insights and intelligence, identifying early trends, and presenting regularly to key internal stakeholders.
  • Understand our consumers' behavior by developing ad hoc and regular analysis & statistical models on consumer and transactional data to support driving optimal pricing decisions, and consumer value. Share results & visualizations in automated reports and recommend actions supporting the pricing strategy.
  • Support the SI Manager with category-specific forecasts and models (markets, segments, JTI portfolio, and competitors), and tasks associated with the business plan process.
  • Execute other Oral category-related or cross-functional projects assigned by the line manager.

Who are we looking for:


  • University degree in Economics, Statistics, Business Administration, or comparable education with over 3 years of business practice.
  • At least one year of relevant experience in FMCG working with business/category development, or market & data analysis.
  • Experience using market data analysis systems like Nielsen Answers, PowerBI, and SPSS is a plus.
  • Enjoyment of evaluating, and analyzing data.
  • Digital savvy and data smart, with the ability to communicate insights in an easy and clear way.
  • Good interpersonal skills, being open-minded and being a quick learner.
  • Desire to contribute your own ideas.
  • Fluent in English, and knowledge of Swedish is an advantage.
