Consumer & Trade Activation Cluster Manager - Stockholm, Sweden

Role: Fixed-term contract valid from June 2021 until October 2022 with the possibility of extension (parental leave)

 

Role information / Responsibilities

As Consumer & Trade Activation Cluster Manager, your activities will include:-

  • Leading a team of 6 (4 based in Stockholm and 2 in Copenhagen) ensuring that strategic objectives are converted into actionable consumer and trade activities across categories in the Scandinavian market
  • Ensure that all direct reports are fully aware of their individual roles & responsibilities and that these are carried out in line with JTI standards.
  • Set clear goals together with the team and generate a performance-driven culture in which all team members feel comfortable sharing knowledge, experience, learnings, being creative, and taking risks.
  • Oversee day-to-day operation, listen to team members’ feedback, resolve any issues or conflicts and keep Marketing Director updated on team performance on an ongoing basis
  • Supporting annual strategic planning process
  • Manage the overall team budget with support from the team based on prioritizing and investing where we get the highest impact aligned with overhaul marketing and sales strategy
  • Working closely with various departments especially brand marketing and sales to secure alignment on strategical directions across departments

 

Requirements

  • University degree in business, marketing, economics, social science or media and communications
  • Team leadership experience
  • Strategic planning / Project Management  
  • Proven track record in managing large budgets with investment prioritization and ROO/ROI mindset
  • At least 5 years of marketing (preferably within Trade Marketing) or sales experience within FMCG
  • Fluency in English written and spoken, Swedish is an advantage
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Office (especially PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Business Intelligence system and experience with Snus/Nicotine Pouches is an advantage
  • A valid EU work permit

  • You have worked with strategic planning and have the ability to recognize problems, finding appropriate solutions, and being comfortable in taking quick decisions based on the best interests of the company.
  • To succeed in this role, you should also have an entrepreneurial personality and the ability to challenge the status quo.
