IoT Service Development Manager


Department: GDC - Data & Integration Delivery Center

Reporting to: GDC - Data & Integration Delivery Center Director

Location: Saint Petersburg, Russia

IoT SERVICES DEVELOPMENT MANAGER role is to plan and deliver Microsoft Azure IoT Central administration, configuration and development projects at JTI worldwide. The incumbent will ensure the efficient and qualitative development support for global relevant applications and projects, design and implementation of the monitoring, development standards and frameworks for the IoT Central Platform.




  • Work closely with DBU-DIGITECH to provide support to Ploom Digital Eco System Roll Outs in the markets
  • Lead the configuration/development/maintenance for the JTI IoT Central Platform applications, projects and enhancements. Responsible for Platform monitoring and worldwide users & devices support using this capability
  • Analyze the impact of new and evolving business requirements and explore the feasibility of how to accommodate them
  • Design and document the application topology, technology recommendation and delivery methodology
  • Be responsible for investigation and resolution of incidents and change requests, incidents, and problems
  • Work with all JTI IT teams together with external development teams in order to ensure that the configuration and customization meet business requirements, performance baseline and budget of the project
  • Coordinate and follow up with external developers on problems & incidents related to JTI IoT Central Platform processes and failures, ensure that the cause is identified and fixed
  • Deliver the development up to the user acceptance testing phase and coordinate bug fixing
  • Ensure transfer of knowledge/expertise to the application maintenance team
  • Liaise directly with Microsoft Global Product Team on new feature cloud releases, versions and products.




  • University degree (preferably in the field of information technology)
  • Fluent English
  • Experience with IoT Central / Hub platforms
  • Strong experience working as .Net Core Developer with C# would be as a plus
  • Diverse experience in delivering solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform with a special emphasis on data solutions and Integration services (Azure Data Lakes, Azure Functions, Azure Key Vault, Azure Storage)
  • CI/CD experience and DEVOPS
  • Ability to quickly learn new tools and technologies
  • Analytical & Detail oriented
  • Strong interpersonal & communication skills.
