About the Position

Procurement team is looking for a motivated team player who will take the ownership of bringing an added value to the whole organization. Reporting to Procurement supervisor, you will be responsible for supporting the team in one of the procurement scopes/spends,  based in our factory in “Shebin El Koum” city. You will be part of a dynamic team and act as a custodian for procurement and technical aspects of purchasing systems. This is an exciting opportunity to develop negotiation skill while enhancing commercial acumen dealing with various stakeholders locally and globally.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Suppliers’ pool and perform sourcing & bidding when required.                                                                                                                                                                                    
  • Own purchasing systems manuals and provide expert solutions to technical questions and stakeholders requests.
  • Coordinate and execute the MySupplier tool for Vendor's maintenance (existing and new) as well as yearly certifications and performance evaluations                                                                                                                   
  • Support the direct supervisor in all procurement  and purchasing activities (starting from the specifications phase and ending with the payment and supplier management/evaluation phases).
  • Make sure all policies and procedures are followed by the stakeholders.
  • Deal with all related systems (ERP, MySupplier, ……etc.) and handle the required tasks on them.
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly/yearly reports on procurement matters.
  • Ensure availability of all supporting documents for audit and review purposes

 

Education and experience

  • University degree, preferably in Engineering, Economics or Business Administration.                      
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in a multinational company, preferably in procurement and purchasing FMCG organization in cross-functional and multi-cultural environment                                              
  • Fluency in both written and oral English and Arabic is a must.
  • Basic knowledge in business information systems and skilful handling of MS Office and ERP systems (SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, ….etc.).

  • Ability to perform a variety of specialized financial, administrative and procurement tasks and to review a variety of data, identify and adjust discrepancies, identify and resolve operational problems.
  • Learning agility to adapt to new systems, policies and procurement strategies and scopes of materials.
  • Strong organization and negotiation skills.
  • Persistent attitude towards technical trouble-shooting to stakeholders and/or internal customers.
  • Think-outside-the-box and challenge the status-quo mentality to promote new initiatives and ideas in order to make improvements within the value chain.
  • Awareness of laws and regulations related to the procurement & purchasing activities, logistics (Incoterms, relative international trading documents and forms,….etc.).
  • Having a basic contracting knowledge.
