Building & Utilities Manager
What is this role about
As Building & Utilities Manager, you will lead the end-to-end management of all building infrastructure and utility systems across JTI Egypt factories. You’ll be responsible for ensuring smooth operations through effective leadership, technical oversight, and cross-functional collaboration. This includes managing maintenance contracts, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance, driving performance through KPIs, and proactively identifying risks and opportunities for improvement. You'll serve as the main point of contact for internal departments and external partners, playing a critical role in maintaining safety, sustainability, and efficiency across all facilities. Analytical thinking, technical knowledge, and a proactive mindset will be key to succeeding in this role.
What will you do
- Oversee all B&U areas, ensuring optimal conditions to support continuous and safe production
- Manage maintenance contracts, licenses, and ensure full compliance with legal, safety, and operational standards
- Lead building and utility-related projects, ensuring delivery within scope, budget, and timeline
- Prepare and regularly update SOPs, conduct risk assessments, and ensure safe execution of all activities
- Monitor and report on all relevant KPIs; identify risks, gaps, and opportunities for improvement
- Ensure continuous functionality of firefighting systems and all property/people loss prevention measures
- Oversee waste engineering track in compliance with JTI, GAFI, and local environmental regulations
- Support the IWS deployment, including training the team and leading the RTT for B&U by 2026
What are we looking for
- BSc in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering; PMP certification is a plus
- Strong knowledge of facilities operations, project delivery, and regulatory compliance
- 5 years of managerial position with relevant experience
- Excellent Arabic and English
- Good computer skills (MS Office, AutoCAD)
- Excellent communication, planning, and leadership skills
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and data analysis capabilities
