Strategic Data Analyst

What will you do?


• Manage and collaborate with the external vendor for GIS spatial data from design to execution.
• Play the key role to identify opportunities and risks based on GIS Consumer information with internal trade information to target the right outlets in line with target consumers
• Analyze the efficiency of communication, investment and route-to-market plans with CRM, GIS, and Trade data via consumer-centric approaches
• Act as the key point of contact for GIS data and analysis and prepare/present findings to key stakeholders including Global and Local teams.


[Data Analysis] 

• Perform data analysis using a variety of methods and datasets on consumer and trade to integrate the findings into strategies.
• Provide analysis-driven insights to business stakeholders proactively to influence the decision-making process of product portfolio, strategy and execution of marketing/sales activities.
• Support any ad hoc data analysis requests from wider Marketing and Sales functions including Geneva HQ, AP Region.


[BI / Data Management]

• Manage, monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of BI and Datalake platform in order to maximize data-driven decision-making. 
• Development and implementation of dashboards based on requirements for entire organization from Field Force to HQ with change management on the BI platform
• Data validation and functional tests of ERP, CRM and BI Tools for data accuracy


[Data Visualization & Dashboard Development] 

• Communicate with different stakeholders to identify specific reporting needs and delivery.
• Ensure consistency in terms of data and format across the analysis platform.
• Analyze issues in order to provide guidelines and approaches to the off-shore team to fix bugs.
• Train the end-users to build capabilities on dashboard development


[Perform any other tasks given by the direct manager.] 

As and when required work on ad-hoc projects, be it with individuals within the Strategic Foresight Team, the marketing team or JTI functions. 


Who are we looking for?

  • High standard of University degree or equivalent apprenticeship in GIS or Urban Planning, Statistics, Data Science or a related data analysis field
  • 3+ years of experience with data analytical techniques
  • Fluent English & Korean

NICE to Have

  • Relevant experience using current GIS technologies with spatial analysis or big data analysis (i.e. arcGIS, QGIS, R, Python)
  • Previous working experience with data analysis, design and data modeling (ie. Regression Model, Classification/Cluster, Machine Learning (XGBoost / GBM))
  • Experience integrating software solutions with other business systems including data warehousing, BI, CRM and analytics platforms would be a plus (i.e. PowerBI with Datalake)
  • Sense of commercial/brands/consumer awareness
