[Position Purpose]

The incumbent is responsible for formulating the right IT solution strategy for the Market/Factory, in line with Market/Factory ASP. He/She serves as solution architect responsible for driving the selection, design and delivery of IT solutions to support Market/Factory’s growth and transformation objectives, actively engaging with business stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of business requirements, and alignment with strategic priorities. He/She leads the detailed project planning and execution of approved projects, in accordance with JTI’s Project Management Framework, and established IT standards, policies and procedures, J-Sox controls, and industry best practices. He/She is responsible for ensuring that 3rd-party solution providers and external project resources comply with JTI quality standards and fulfil agreed-upon project commitments and contractual obligations. He/She is expected to exercise fiscal discipline and transparency in the overall project budget management.



  • Business Engagement – Proactively engage with relevant business stakeholders to gain solid understanding of JTI commercial processes in order to effectively formulate the right solution strategy, ensuring alignment with Market/Factory ASP. Serve as IT solution consultant to business stakeholders and take the lead in mapping relevant technologies and IT services to support business plan execution. Evaluate the current and anticipated demand for IT solutions and services vis-a-vis business priorities and IT resource capacity and capabilities, and support the IT Lead in the overall demand management and business stakeholder management. Provide effective communication to relevant parties.
  • Business Transformation / Change Management – Serve as IT solution subject matter expert for business transformation and change initiatives, collaborating with internal and external subject matter experts to define the required technology solution(s) and to assess the business impact. Ensure timely processing and approval of IT change requests to support the business transformation and change initiatives. Support the IT Lead in ensuring clear business ownership, sufficient funding, proper project governance and quality control, adherence to IT project management standards and best practices, and compliance with Operating Guidelines. Evaluate IT resource requirements. Define the requisite resource plan and secure qualified IT project resources to ensure project success.
  • Business Analysis – Work closely with business process owners to ensure proper scoping, analysis and documentation of business requirements related to business transformation and change initiatives. Provide overall guidance in the fit-gap analysis, and ensure that business process inefficiencies and opportunities for improvements are clearly identified and documented. Ensure that data flows and data migration requirements are duly analyzed and documented, in order to achieve data integrity. Enforce strict adherence to data-related risk management policies and procedures
  • Solution Design and Delivery – Serve as solution architect responsible for driving the evaluation, selection, design and delivery of reliable, scalable and cost-effective solutions to successfully complete business transformation and change initiatives. Work with relevant internal and external subject matter experts to ensure that the solution fulfills business requirements and is successfully implemented within the agreed-upon timeline and budget, in line with established JTI standards and best practices. Accountable for ensuring that the operational support model is well-formulated and the requisite knowledge transfer and solution documentation are successfully completed prior to go-live. Work closely with the IT Operations Lead to ensure that the operational impact is minimized.
  • Project Management – Ensure that solution implementation projects are planned and executed in line with business strategy and established global IT standards and best practices. Enforce strong project management discipline and ensure adherence to JTI’s Project Management Framework (PMF). Provide oversight during effort and cost estimation, and ensure that project constraints and dependencies are clearly identified and aligned with all stakeholders. Ensure that the IT project resource plan is well-defined, and secure qualified IT resources for project implementation. Serve as overall project owner, ensuring successful execution according to agreed-upon budget and timeline. Also responsible for driving the successful roll-out of global solutions.
  • People Leadership – Lead the IT Solutions team, ensuring that they are well-equipped to deliver high-quality performance, and providing development opportunities to enhance their overall capabilities. Support the IT Lead in driving talent management initiatives. Ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures. Also responsible for managing 3rd-party project resources and ensuring that they adhere to relevant JTI policies and procedures.
  • IT Governance – Actively support the IT Lead in securing early IT involvement in technology-related initiatives, and ensuring alignment with Corporate IT standards, policies and procedures, and applicable J-Sox and IT risk controls, in order to reduce technology risk. Drive the evaluation of existing solutions and, where feasible, and recommend reuse in order to optimize expected benefits and total cost of ownership. Provide change management governance and ensure that subsequent solution change requests are backed by a solid business case, preserve solution integrity, and are in line with the underlying solution architecture. Ensure transparency and visibility of system-related changes and decisions.
  • Supplier Management – Lead the evaluation and selection of qualified 3rd-party IT suppliers to support solution design and delivery. Build strong partnership and ensure timely solution delivery, adherence to JTI quality standards, and fulfillment of agreed-upon project commitments and contractual obligations. Review supplier performance evaluation, to serve as valuable input into subsequent contractual review and negotiation.
  • Financial Management – Ensure transparency of the financial impact of solution(s) to be implemented on Market/Factory budget commitments. Provide project-related inputs to complete Market/Factory's TDT/ASP/LE submission. Take ownership of project budget management during solution implementation. Ensure that BAP/Memo submission and PR/PO/invoicing are in line with Operating Guidelines and PPO policies and procedures.



  • At least 7 years overall experience in IT discipline, preferably within FMCG industry with People management
  • Strong knowledge of - FMCG commercial processes / Business technology solutions (e.g., ERP, CRM, Business Intelligence, mobile solutions, etc.) and corresponding solution roadmap / IT infrastructure solutions (network, data center, workplace and collaboration, etc.) / Application development methodologies / IT financial management / ITIL
  • Experience in at least 2 of the following new technology trends: mobile applications development, cloud SAAS solutions, digital route to market, new generation Business Intelligence solutions (Tableau, Qlik, MS Power BI, Tibco Spotfire, etc.)
  • Experience in Solutions design and architecture (business applications and IT infrastructure), including but not limited to application design methodology (including Agile methodology), interface design, capacity planning, scalability
  • Project management (medium- to large-scale projects) / Business analysis& Supplier management experience
  • English proficiency (oral and written)
  • University Degree in Information Technology or related discipline
