Position Purpose

The incumbent, working under supervision of People Service & ER Manager, will be responsible for supporting the execution of Employee Relations strategies as acting as a professional consultant to people related issues through effecitve communication.


Main Areas of Responsibility

  • Act as internal consultant by giving support to employees (e.g. disciplinary, grievance issues) and faciliate strong communication process between management and employees
  • Develop and suggest an internal communication strategy ensuring top-down and bottom-up free flow of information essential for driving the business strategy, as fully engaging HR team
  • Closely work with Reward & Recognition team to ensure all HR strategy and progams can be developed in a timely manner
  • Support to deliver HR interventions to the function through professional execution of HR strategy & process. (e.g. recruitment, performance discussion, talent review etc.) and provide guidance for key decisions related to employees
  • Ensure JTI Korea policy & procedures to be aligned with labour law and consult if necessary



  • Education : University degree
  • Work & Key Experience 

: At least 3 years of professional experience in Employee Relations, especially in building & managing relations with labour union(s) or LMC experience are highly prefered

: Certified Labor Attorney is higly prefered 

: In depth knowledge of Korean labor laws
: Proactive and the ability to multi-task in a faced paced working environment
: Strong interpersonal communication skills with proven track record in managing relationships with partners and stakeholers, understanding of cross-cultural and functional experience

  • Languages & Computer Skills

: Fluent spoken and written English (required), as well as Korean
: Basic Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint skills
