Brand Manager


We are looking for a Brand Manager to help develop and implement effective brand-building strategies. The role requires an ambitious, performance driven and creative individual. An ability to understand and translate consumer insights and retail data into strategic recommendations and brand strategy and excellent communication skills and self-motivation to effectively contribute as part of a team in achieving brand objectives.


The incumbent will work with the wider marketing team, and take responsibility for increasing JTI market share and volume by leading: 

  • The formulation and implementation of brand strategy 
  • The development and launch new products 
  • The design of communication and activation campaigns
  • The effective creation and execution of marketing plans
  • The monitoring and reporting of brand performance
  • Enforcement of brand consistency across all brand and trade touch-points 


What will you do?


  • Monitor and analyze industry dynamics including consumer, trade and competitive trends
  • Develop and optimize marketing campaigns for product launch initiatives and promotion campaigns
  • Work with global and local agencies in the management of ad-hoc project deliverables
  • Work effectively with regional and global M&S teams to support brand objectives in the Korean market
  • Development of brand positioning and communication strategy for Korea market
  • Coordinate with the sales, activation, and strategic insight teams, as well as the wider organization in delivery of brand objectives
  • Compile and present or share reports on brand performance, including volume, SoM and profitability
  • Work with Demand Planning to estimate new SKU performance and set KPI objectives
  • Take responsibility for developing individuals in the portfolio team, and those in roles that support the delivery of brand objectives
  • Perform other assignments or special projects to assist Portfolio Marketing Manager and the Leadership Team in the delivery of core business objectives


Who are we looking for?


  • 5+ years experience working in a marketing role in an FMCG company 
  • University degree or above in Marketing or relevant subject.
  • Strong team player, prioritizing brand performance over individual preferences
  • Strong interpersonal and project management skills
  • Highly creative with ability to think out of the box
  • Organizational skills, and experience in meeting tight deadlines
  • Results driven with a strong ambition to deliver on brand targets
  • Broad understanding of the commercial aspects impacting brand performance
  • Entrepreneurial mindset
  • Fluent written and spoken Korean and English is essential in combination with strong communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites (PowerPoint, Excel and Word)
