Digital Trade Activation Associate

 

Position purpose:

 

JTI’s trade partners (shop owners and store clerks who sell our products) operate thousands of retail outlets across Belgium and Luxembourg. As the business environment continues to evolve, strengthening how we connect and engage with these partners digitally is critical to accelerate the growth of our international brands and supporting JTI’s ambition to become No. 1 by 2030.

We’re committed to continuously strengthening our digital expertise, and we’re looking for our next Digital talent: a Junior/Medior Digital Enthusiast to join the BeLux Trade Strategy & Activation team and elevate our B2B strategy and website to the next level.

In this role, you will help enhance the platform’s features, user experience, and engagement, driving adoption both externally (trade partners) and internally (JTI stakeholders).
 

What will you do – responsibilities:

 

  • Digital Trade engagement and activation: Drive the vision and continuous improvement of JTI’s B2B digital engagement platform by optimizing user experience and leveraging all available levers to support brand/commercial targets. Build internal awareness and adoption, coordinate agencies and developer deliverables, and identify/prioritize enhancements using data-driven insights. Manage maintenance, content/features updates across both front-end and back-end environments as well as various tasks and projetcs.

 

  • Digital Strategy & Performance Reporting: Contribute to the definition, implementation and follow‑up of the digital trade strategy by supporting strategic initiatives, preparing performance analyses and ensuring regular reporting to management based on defined KPIs.  

 

  • Budget management: Execute monthly budget updates to have a clear view on the budget (Plan, Spending, Commitments and available amounts). Check the compliance of the cycle activity (or programs) spending vs the planned budget. Assessed critically the ROI of each existing/future tools in order to optimize the department’s investment strategy to contribute to JTI’s objectives. 

 

  • Cross-functional collaboration: You will develop a proactive & strong internal collaboration to get a deep understanding of all the stakeholders' ways of working and objectives (Legal, Finance, Sales, Marketing, Logistics, CA, P&C) in order to ensure each initiative is matching expectations, requirements and feasibility. You will also take part in multiple cross-functional projects.

 

  • Procedures:You will ensure all JTI procedures related to new/existing commercial tools preparation/implementation are strictly respected.
     

 

Who are we looking for – requirements

 

Degree in Commercial/Business studies (Sales, Marketing, Digital or equivalent experience)
Min 2 years as a trade marketeer and/or in a function focusing on retailer's activation
English + Dutch or French. Trilingual prefered. 
Technology enthusiast & innovative. Database comfortable. Eager to learn. Able to proactively connect with new people
Proactive, organized & autonomous
