Entity Finance Manager Denmark 

 

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Finance Specialist to join our Scandinavian finance team, dedicated to supporting our Danish entity.  Based in central Stockholm, this role is a key finance position within the Scandinavian cluster. The Finance Specialist will work closely with our Global Business Services (GBS) center, the Tax Manager, FP&A team, and her/his line manager to ensure accurate, compliant, and efficient financial operations.  This role reports directly to Scandinavia Entity Finance Lead Manager and require some travels (flexible, approx. 4 times a year) to our Danish office in Copenhagen.

Position:

 

As the Entity Finance Manager, you will: 

 

Finance Lead for Denmark (≈60%)

  • Oversee daily finance operations with GBS (bookkeeping, payments, AR/AP, PO)
  • Ensure accurate reporting (month-end, year-end, statutory, internal) in local GAAP
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
  • Maintain compliance with tax, audit, legal, and internal controls (JSOX)
  • Support tax-related processes (VAT, CIT, transfer pricing) with Tax Manager
  • Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping

 

FP&A Support (≈20%)

  • Assist with forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis for Denmark

 

Scandinavian Support (≈20%)

  • Provide ad-hoc finance support to Sweden and the Swedish factory

 

Strategic Initiatives

  • Support Entity Finance Lead with process improvements and business projects

 

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as contact point for auditors, tax authorities, and external stakeholders

 

Requirements: 

 

  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, or related fields.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant accounting/finance experience, preferably in an international environment (Big 4 experience and authorization/certification is an advantage)
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS; familiarity with Danish GAAP and Swedish GAAP is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of tax: indirect tax, direct tax, CbCR, transfer pricing. (Knowledge of tobacco industry is a plus).
  • Experience with SAP or other major ERP systems is highly desirable. Proficiency in Excel is a must.
  • Solid understanding of financial reporting, controls, and compliance, knowing where the risks are. 
  • Proven ability to collaborate across teams, functions, and geographies.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, focus on efficiency and result-driven, but adjusting the style based on the audience. 
  • Proactive, self-driven, and adaptable with high ethical standards and attention to deadlines and approvals.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken); Danish and/or Swedish is a strong advantage
