Area Sales Representative Nordics Travel Retail
We are looking for an Area Sales Representative Nordics Travel Retail to work closely with the Area Sales Manager Scandinavia/Regional Sales Manager and to be responsible for all aspects of assigned territory management. The role involves building strong relationships with trade partners and playing an active role in the implementation of consumer and trade programs. It also coordinates the execution of sales and trade marketing initiatives, monitors implementation KPIs, competitive activity, assists in the development and execution of key account plans/agreements while ensuring compliance checks are completed. The role requires close collaboration with the marketing and finance Functions and all central function teams within GTR and relevant domestic markets.
Position:
As the Area Sales Representative Nordics Travel Retail, you will:
- Own and deliver market/area P&L targets, driving sustainable business growth and profitability
- Develop annual and strategic plans (AP/SP) for the assigned territory, aligning with key stakeholders and maintaining rolling forecasts
- Manage territory marketing budgets in partnership with Marketing and Finance teams, ensuring effective investment and budget optimisation
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, trade partners, and local market stakeholders, acting as the primary commercial contact
- Ensure accurate and compliant management of commercial documentation, including contracts, invoices, and sales integrity requirements
- Monitor and analyse key business performance indicators, including sales volumes, pricing, stock levels, and product listings, providing regular performance updates
- Execute, track, and evaluate consumer and trade marketing initiatives to maximise business impact
- Drive operational excellence by improving planning accuracy (forecasting), reducing out-of-stock risks, and enhancing business predictability
- Support portfolio optimisation across customers and channels to maximise commercial performance
- Identify and develop business opportunities through analysis of market trends, consumer behaviour, competitive activity, and strategic insights
- Translate market and commercial insights into actionable strategies that drive revenue growth and strengthen market presence
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support informed decision-making and successful execution of business plans
- Undertake additional projects and responsibilities as agreed with the line manager, in line with business needs, skills, and development objectives
Requirements:
- University degree or equivalent (required)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in sales, distribution/channel management, or field trade marketing, with experience in managing consumer and trade promotions; experience within the FMCG or Travel Retail industry with Key Account Management experience are preferred
- Cross-cultural experience, cross-functional experience, and Travel Retail experience are advantageous
- Fluent Swedish & English (required), Danish, Norwegian and local languages are an advantage
- Computer literacy
