Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst
The incumbent will provide financial planning and analysis support to the FP&A Manager across the Cluster markets (Australia, Thailand, and Singapore), playing a key role in the overall budgeting and planning cycle, alongside forecasting, performance reporting, and business analysis.
The position supports the preparation and consolidation of budgets across the markets, working with relevant stakeholders to ensure planning inputs and submissions are accurate, aligned, and timely. The role also provides variance analysis and contributes to practical improvements that enhance the efficiency, consistency, and data quality of budgeting processes.
Working closely with local business stakeholders, Entity Finance Controlling, Supply Planning, and other cross-functional teams, the incumbent will help collect and validate planning inputs, maintain accurate working files, and ensure timely and reliable submissions in line with Cluster, Regional, and Corporate requirements.
With demonstrated performance, growing business knowledge, and the required capabilities, the incumbent may progressively assume broader FP&A coordination and business-partnering responsibilities for a designated market within the Cluster.
As the FP&A Analyst, you will be responsible for:
Planning & Budgeting
- Support and coordinate annual budgeting, forecasting, and A&SP planning activities across the Cluster markets.
- Prepare and consolidate planning templates and working files, and coordinate with budget owners to collect and validate inputs.
- Maintain planning assumptions and supporting schedules, highlighting gaps or inconsistencies.
- Support TM1 / IBP / GPM uploads and timely submissions to Cluster, Regional, and Corporate FP&A.
- Contribute practical ideas and support the implementation of improvements to budgeting templates, workflows, and controls to enhance efficiency, consistency, and data quality.
Performance Reporting & Variance Analysis
- Prepare management reports and track actual performance against budget and forecast.
- Analyze key P&L variances, including OPEX and Marketing & Sales performance, and summarize business drivers for management review.
- Help identify performance gaps and track follow-up actions with relevant stakeholders.
- Assist with financial models and scenario analyses, including pricing and commercial simulations.
Business Partnering & Market Analysis
- Work with budget owners and cross-functional stakeholders to support budget reviews and provide relevant financial analysis.
- Develop an understanding of market performance and key business drivers to support business discussions and decision-making.
- As business knowledge, capability, and performance develop, progressively take on a broader scope of market-level analysis, stakeholder coordination, and business-partnering activities.
Closing & Financial Data Quality
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end activities in coordination with Entity Finance Controlling, Accounting, GBS, and business partners.
- Perform checks and reconciliations on management P&L data and investigate discrepancies.
- Help ensure accurate, complete, and timely reporting in relevant finance systems.
Systems, Master Data & Ad-hoc Analysis
- Coordinate with GBS on finance master-data requests, including product cost, profit and cost centers, transfer pricing, and PIR setup.
- Support cross-functional and global initiatives through ad-hoc analysis, simulations, and structured financial models.
- Perform other related tasks and projects as requested by the manager.
Requirements:
- University degree or equivalent in Finance, Business, or Accounting
- 2 years experience in Financial Planning & Analysis or related position, preferably in international or FMCG environment is an advantage.
- Fluency in English is required
- Functional Skills:
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel; working knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems is preferred.
- Foundational understanding of budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and variance analysis.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to organize financial data and communicate clear findings.
- Ability to manage deadlines, learn business drivers, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
