ESG Supervisor - Shewa Robit
About the Job
As an ESG Supervisor, you will support the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) initiatives across JTI Ethiopia's Leaf Operations. You will play a key role in driving sustainability programs, ensuring compliance with ESG standards, supporting community development projects, and contributing to JTI's sustainability objectives.
What Will You Actually Do?
- ALP & STP goals achievement & execution by collaborating with Agricultural teams & external stake holders.
- Training materials development & conduct training to Agricultural team & growers to improve their knowledge on ALP & STP goals.
- Undertake ALP field observation, Support, Monitor & evaluate Agricultural teams on ALP observation, summarize observations, organize ALP monthly, quarterly, Semiannual & annual reports.
- Budget preparation for ALP & STP program.
- Support data collection and budget spending and reporting to Local management team activities related to GSP, SCDD, SG related ESGA, HRIA, ALP and ARISE.
- Involve in afforestation activities, carbon emission reduction initiatives and community development program.
- Support ESG Manager in all other activities.
- Collect & organize LCA required data, review with Leaf management team and timely reporting.
- Involve on CoP (cost of production) data collection and execution.
- Internal & global reporting, summarization, evaluation & analysis.
- Manage related tasks and projects as they arise and upon Manager’s assignment.
- The position requires travel to Jewah Leaf Location and South Leaf Locations.
What Skills Are We Looking For?
- B. Sc.in Agriculture or MS in Agriculture or B. Sc. Agricultural Engineering MBA (preferred) from any recognize public University or related field
- Minimum of 4 years service in Agriculture and Sustanability.
- Strong knowledge of sustainability principles, environmental and social compliance standards, and ESG frameworks.
- Experience in project coordination, stakeholder engagement, training delivery, and reporting.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Fluency in English (both writing & speaking)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to travel frequently to field locations.
- Ability to drive motorcycle
