Production Cell Lead

 

What this position is about:

 

Ensuring the smooth running of cigarette production and the planned production volume within the requested time as the main objective and also all other key performance indicators related to the Make Pack production cell. Manage all direct employees of the cell ensuring their best performance. Ensure fair two-way communication between plant management and all subordinates. The job holder is responsible for the results of the cell, including safety, quality, reliability, production achievement, productivity and costs.

 

Requirements:

 

  • University degree in Engineering or Business Administration;
  • Experience in the function & in the area of cigarette production. Preferably experience in any position of supervision of people, as Supervisor of Production and Maintenance;
  • Knowledge in problem solving methods, root cause analysis, statistical process control and ISO standards;
  • Advanced knowledge of the English language;
  • Common skills in PC (MS Office applications) and SAP;
  • Knowledge in production planning process, budget preparation and planning and maintenance processes.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • It's responsible for the results of the production cell, including safety, quality, reliability, production volume, productivity and costs.
  • Establish, maintain and improve the effectiveness of Daily Management Systems (DMS). He is responsible for the Daily Direction Setting.
  • Responsible for approving effective action plans, defining priorities and allocating resources to carry out these plans.
  • Conduct effectively the elimination of losses, properly using root cause analysis and troubleshooting.
  • Develop the capacity of cell teams, training teams, to make them self-sufficient 24 hours a day, with shift changes and efficient results.

 

Responsibilities related to EHS:

  • Understanding aspects concerning health and safety, knowing and identifying hazards, evaluating risks, knowing and ensuring that control measures are implemented, in order to maintain a healthy and safe workplace for subordinate employees.
  • Developing the competency to work in proper health and safety conditions, participating in health and safety trainings in order to obtain proper knowledge and necessary qualifications; ensuring that their employees have the necessary qualification and training related to workplace health and safety and that they have the competence to work safely.
  • Knowing legal and JTI health and safety requirements related to workplace hazards, observing all applicable health and safety norms and procedures and ensuring conformity in relation to these.
  • Ensuring that their employees always demonstrate safe behaviour, do not infringe any health and safety norms and reports accidents and incidents, in order to remove identified unsafe conditions and behaviours.
  • Always demonstrating safe behaviour, reporting incidents and accidents to superiors, in order to identify and remove unsafe conditions and behaviours.
  • Actively demonstrating a commitment to health and safety and taking immediate measures to correct unsafe working conditions or behaviours.
  • Observing and following safety indicators, posters, warning signs, procedures and work instructions.
  • Observing the company policy regarding the prevention of contamination, observing its provisions related to: facility access, access in production areas in accordance with the access level granted by the direct supervisor, hygiene measures when entering production areas, measures related to access with personal items in production areas, measures related to food and water access and consumption in production areas as are described in the policy and as are used as basis for annual training

 

All the responsibilities associated to the position must be achieved in accordance with the operating procedures, on a local, as well as on a global level.

Performs any other tasks as per direct manager’s request, within his/her field of activity, in line with his/her knowledge and professional expertise.
