Finance Specialist – Santa Cruz do Sul/RS
About the position:
The Finance Specialist is a technical expert in product costing for Leaf and NTM materials who calculates standard costs, analyses and validates actual costs, performs pre‑month‑end checks, and leads the factory month‑end close by identifying, explaining, and challenging variances.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Engineering, IT, or a related field;
- At least 3 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, accounting, or related functions;
- Fluent in English and Portuguese (reading, writing, and speaking);
- Strong Excel skills, including experience building financial models and preparing decks that clearly convey analysis and conclusions;
- Experience with SAP product costing.
Main areas of responsibility:
- Financial Planning: Support planning, analysis, and reporting of Annual Plan/Last Estimate vs actuals for Leaf and NTM materials costing, prepare and consolidate planning deliverables and monthly reporting, and partially own leaf and NTM costing during ASP.
- Product Cost: Execute SAP product costing for materials and finished goods, develop and track standard costs and variances (PPV, Yield, NTW, Spec), forecast variances during planning cycles, ensure timely PLM cost estimates, and collaborate to adhere to transfer pricing rules.
- Month-end Closing: Perform pre-checks, accruals, prepayments, and journal vouchers; complete factory month-end activities and carry out cross-charges.
- Controls: Maintain and track a robust control environment aligned with Global control processes, support deep analysis of GSC Brazil operations, and ensure the accounting structure is correct, updated, and aligned with Global PC Policy.
- General Support: Analyze Brazil operations for policy alignment and data accuracy, prepare BS and P&L planning with system loading and checks, support monthly variance, working capital, and cash flow analysis, and assist local and global finance projects.
