Finance Manager

 

 

 

 

What this position is about – Purpose:

 

The Finance Manager is responsible for leading the financial operations of the organization, ensuring accurate reporting, strong internal controls, and effective financial planning to support strategic decision‑making. Overseeing a team of four finance professionals, the Finance Manager drives process efficiency, maintains compliance with internal and external regulations, and provides financial insights that enable sustainable business growth. Collaboration with other functions as Marketing, Sales, production and logistics is critical for the success of the organization.

 

What will you do - Responsibilities:

 

• Manage and supervise all financial planning & analysis, reporting, pricing, taxation, budget consolidation and accounting processes, (Annual plan, latest estimates, strategic plans, outlooks and board presentations), so that resources are effectively utilized and planned, legal requirements are respected and established deadlines, procedures and standards are met.

• Understand, manage and comply with all taxation requirements (VAT, corporate income tax, import duties, etc..). Develop an expertise on tobacco taxation to be able to  make proposals to modify written laws.

• Continuously evaluate actual results versus approved plans and alert management at the earliest possible time regarding possible deviations, identifying / recommending corrective actions. Coordinate treasury process, relationship with local bank entities and ensuring cash-flow maximization

• Develop and maintain a fluid flow of information with LLT providing accurate financial information ( KPI's ) contributing to major business decisions and advice on viability of proposals and strategies put forward by other managers. Continuos reporting and communication with JTI Iberia Finance team. Develop insight on main financial drivers of the company to be able to contribute to major business decisions, at JTI and Tabandor levels.

• Manage annual audit and monthly and year-end closings, ensuring that all facets of the organization comply with finance legislative requirements, both Local & JTI levels

• Oversee processes in order to ensure compliance with local regulations and JTI policies and procedures                                  

• Recruit, supervise, motivates, mentor, and develop a team of four direct reports. Delegate responsibilities effectively and ensure high-quality deliverables. Implement training plans to enhance team capabilities and professional growth. Fluid flow of communication with his/her peers, colleagues and senior management.
 

 

Whom are we looking for – Requirements:

 

University degree in Finance, Economics, or Business Administration; financial qualification (e.g. ACCA) is a plus

8-10 years work experience in FMCG company in Finance out of which minimum 3 years in FP&A. 3-5 years experience in managing people

English advanced (CAE level), Spanish and/or Catalan desirably. 

MS Office literacy (excel expert) and preferably SAP user (FI, CO, BW modules )

Computer Skills: SAP R3/Hana knowledge (preferable)
