FP&A Analyst

 

 

What this position is about - Purpose: 

 

The FP&A Analyst role supports the execution of financial planning and analysis activities and contributes to the finance function's strategic objectives. Assisting in preparing financial reports, forecasts, and variance analyses, the FP&A Analyst helps ensure that business insights are accurate. While not entirely responsible for the end-to-end processes, the Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the detailed execution of the financial planning process, assisting with month-end closing activities, and collaborating with the FP&A team and other partners. Through attention to detail and a commitment to quality, the FP&A Analyst supports the effectiveness and success of the FP&A team.

Who are we looking for – Requirements:

 

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Administration, Finance, or a related field; 
  • Experience in similar finance functions; 
  • Fluent Portuguese and Advanced English;
  • Analytical skill; Knowledge of accounting principles; Business acumen; Interpersonal skills;
  • Communication skills with the ability to build relationships; Organizational skills; Proactivity and results-oriented;
  • Experience in ERP systems, desirable SAP S4 HANA.

 

What will you do - Responsibilities: 

 

Financial Planning: 
 - Act as a key player in the financial planning process, including Business Updates, LEs (Latest Estimates), OLs (Outlook), and ASP (Annual Strategic Plan).
 - Collaborate with local department/functions leaders on defining assumptions that are adherent to organizational goals.
 - Ensure the correctness and timeliness of all financial planning activities, maintaining a high standard of accuracy and reliability.
 - Drive continuous improvement initiatives for planning and forecast models to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

 

Month-End Closing Management:
 - Serve as a key contributor during month-end financial closing processes for OCC and MFCF.
 - Ensure strict compliance with established deadlines for month-end closing activities.
 - Guarantee the accuracy and integrity of reported financial figures during the month-end closing process.
 - Identify and implement process improvements in financial closing models and files, as well as consolidation procedures, enhancing efficiency and accuracy.

 

Variance Analysis and Reporting:
 - Serve as a central figure in the variance analysis process, examining discrepancies between actual financial results and forecasted figures.
 - Engage with department teams to comprehensively understand the drivers behind variances, collaborating on the definition of actionable strategies to address identified deviations and optimize financial performance.
 - Deliver high-quality reports and variance analyses, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and relevance. Effectively communicate complex financial concepts to diverse stakeholders, contributing to informed decision-making.
 - Actively seek opportunities for process improvements in variance analysis and reporting models. Enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the existing tools.

 

Financial Business Partner:
 - Collaborate closely with the FP&A Leader, providing assistance in preparing reports, presentations, and addressing various financial aspects of the business
 - Provide financial support and insights to the FP&A Leader and local stakeholders. Ensure transparent and effective communication, serving as a key contributor to the decision-making process.
 - Develop and maintain effective relationships with business partners and cross-functional teams across the organization. Foster collaboration and open lines of communication to enhance financial understanding and alignment with business objectives.
 - Execute ad-hoc and scenario analyses to address specific business inquiries, providing data-driven insights to facilitate strategic decision-making.
 - Produce professional reports and presentations summarizing financial information. Ensure clarity, accuracy, and relevance in all financial communications.
