Job Title: Head of Chain Accounts

What This Position Is About
This is an outstanding chance to lead the national landscape, working with chains and distributors. You will directly manage National & Regional Account Managers, ensuring the growth of JTI USA sales, share, and distribution. Enhance JTI USA product exposure by introducing all product lines to industry chain and direct accounts while staying within budgets and company policies.
Collaborate closely with the Head of Sales to build, develop, and communicate strategic and tactical plans to enhance business and increase product visibility, in line with company objectives. Conduct interviews, hire, and train new National & Regional Account Managers, while providing sales management and cross-functional teams with business updates and competitive insights. Attain annual goals aligned with overall company targets.
Who Are We Looking For - Requirements:
- BA degree or equivalent experience in Business (Concentration in Marketing or Sales preferred).
- Minimum of 7+ years of direct sales-related managerial experience, with a key focus on "Business to Business" sales experience.
- Proficiency in English.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, & PowerPoint).
Areas of Responsibilities:
- Increase the efficiency and effectiveness of implementing JTI USA marketing and sales plans in Direct, Cash-N-Carry, and Chain accounts. This will contribute to the growth of JTI share and sales volume, as well as the improvement of brand awareness in all categories. Additionally, conduct reviews and audits to ensure chain accounts adhere to JTI Merchandising programs according to the agreed-upon platform.
- Identify and contact (cold call) prospective business development opportunities with direct and chain accounts within the assigned geography. Work closely with National Account Managers & Regional Account Managers to increase penetration of the total market.
- In collaboration with the Head of Sales, develop both strategic and tactical plans to enhance our sales and merchandising reach. Implement these new marketing and sales approaches to all assigned direct and chain accounts.
- Achieve distribution, merchandising, product availability, and promotional objectives while staying within assigned budgets. Set annual volume targets for assigned chain workload and recommend strategies to capitalize on volume growth opportunities.
- In collaboration with the marketing team, develop programs to build our business in existing and new accounts across all categories. Effectively and efficiently communicate industry and competitive activity to the sales management cross-functional teams, recommending strategic and tactical responses to new situations.
- Recruit, motivate, and guide the professional development of the team reporting directly to the Head of Chain Accounts.
- Manage various tasks and projects as they arise and upon the Head of Sales’ request.
