                           Territory Analytic Services Manager

 

Purpose: 

 

In this role, you will be responsible for planning and optimizing field sales territories and retail store coverage for a national sales force of over 200 team members. You'll systematically develop territories that target high-potential retail outlets across two product categories, while ensuring a balanced workload throughout the field organization. Additionally, you’ll prepare and deliver timely, comprehensive sales coverage analytics to support data-driven decision-making.

 

Responsibilities: 

 

Territory Mapping:

  • Design and optimize field sales territories, retail outlet coverage, and visit frequencies aligned with overall organizational objectives

  • Leverage territory mapping software to create clear, data-driven visualizations

  • Ensure territories are balanced and equitable across different levels of the field organization

 

Echelon & store maintenance:

  • Assign territory echelons to field personnel and lead temporary system access to support secondary coverage during vacancies or training periods

  • Maintain and update zip code and store assignments within territory structures, incorporating changes requested by field managers

  • Ensure store attributes are consistently updated and accurately reflected in the system

 

Call frequency & coverage analytics:

  • Analyze completed retail store visits against planned schedules to identify gaps and uncover opportunities

  • Share actionable insights to enhance field execution and overall efficiency

  • Evaluate and recommend improvements to retail coverage by adjusting visit frequencies and updating priority store designations

 

Store Opportunity Analysis:

  • Develop analytical models to uncover business opportunities within field sales territories

  • Generate insights to support field managers in finding opportunities for merchandising contracts and distribution enhancements

  • Provide data-driven recommendations that align with business goals and drive field performance

 

Data Integrity Validation:

  • Monitor data within sales reporting systems to identify missing, inconsistent, or inaccurate information

  • Evaluate critical data points and take proactive steps to correct or enhance reporting accuracy

  • Ensure high-value information is maintained and reflected accurately in reports to support effective decision-making

 

Requirements: 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) required

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a sales-related role within the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry; experience in sales operations is a strong plus

  • Fluency in English

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, along with strong skills in Power BI and PowerPoint

  • Experience with territory mapping tools and sales analytics platforms

  • Excellent planning, problem-solving, and attention to detail

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with shifting project requirements and priorities
