Field Marketer (Sales Representative) - Raub, Pahang 

 

The Field Marketer (FM) is accountable & responsible for his/her assigned territories in ensuring optimal planning & execution of field marketing, trade service level and A&V opportunities. Maintain continuous streamlined communication with all key stakeholders for efficient resolution of any trade opportunities/challenges. He will be expected to analyze information from tools like DSD/TME/Retail Eye systems and conduct territorial exploration for business opportunity and growth. The FM is also responsible to observe market dynamics in accordance with JTI standards.

 

As the Field Marketer, you will: 

 

  • Strategizing & Planning: Identify market opportunities through consumer-centric Field Marketing at the retail level to build brand strategies, develop strategic market plans, and assess products for optimal awareness and market share. Ensure all actions, including those of the distributor's sales team, align with JTI standards.
  • Execution Excellence: Achieve field marketing, sales, and distribution objectives by focusing on high-impact outlets within the designated area. Work closely with the distributor's sales team to meet measurable targets, scout and secure merchandising units, and visit assigned outlets for related activities.
  • Trade Service Level Optimization: Develop and maintain a motivated and competent distributor's sales team through regular field visits, understanding their needs, and providing support. Guide and appraise their performance, offering clear direction and coaching, and provide timely feedback on performance and market dynamics.
  • Database Maintenance & KPI Monitoring: Maintain updated administrative records on sales data, distribution analysis, and merchandising costs. Optimize information from DSD/TME systems and marketing programs, participate in ad-hoc activities, and engage in meetings to understand JTI business objectives. Leverage merchandising activities within the allocated budget and market.
  • Constructive Communication: Maintain and develop productive relationships with all assigned accounts and customers through frequent visits and compliance checks, ensuring the sales team provides satisfactory trade service levels. Ensure JTI is competitively positioned in all channels and retail outlets, and be flexible in accepting changes in roles and responsibilities as needed by JTI.

 

Requirements

 

  • Minimum SPM/MCE. Diploma or Degree holder in Business Administration, Marketing  or any other related fields.
  • Relevant working experience preferably in FMCG
  • Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Knowledge of Chinese and local dialects are an added advantage. 
  • Have good leadership and interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively. Has the ability to plan and organize well. A self-starter with the ability to meet objectives under minimum supervision. Must be familiar & capable in using business tools provided. E.g. DSD/TME/Retail Eye etc.
