RRP Merchandizing Manager

 

What will you do?

 

Partnering with Consumer Programs Lead Manager, you will develop the JTI LIGGETT Reduced Risk Products (RRP) Merchandizing Strategy in the USA. Reduced-risk products (RRPs) are products with the potential to reduce the risks associated with smoking, e.g. modern oral, e-vapor, heated tobacco products.   You will own omnichannel merchandizing solutions end to end to achieve the JTI LIGGETT objectives in the lucrative USA RRP business. Omnichannel includes retail, HoReCa and leisure.

You will source and manage the right vendors and develop innovative merchandizing capabilities. You will drive the disruptive merchandizing solutions for efficient brand visibility in collaboration with Combustibles merchandizing team and commercial strategy team. You will collaborate cross-functionally for merchandizing solutions management and implementation. You will contribute to RRP Activation Strategy and to development of regular business updates to relevant stakeholders.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Build cross channel RRP Merchandizing Strategy (retail, chain, HoReCa) to drive RRP objectives for JTI LIGGETT in the US. Identify opportunities for permanent fixtures, temporary solutions and POSM.
  • Lead constant information exchange with the Combustibles Merchandizing team, retail sales force and RRP team to ensure the brand programs address market challenges and opportunities. Work closely with Sales Team to support retail Independent and Chain programs with exceptional consumer facing POSM that deliver impactful execution excellence.
  • Source and manage agency partners & vendors to develop bespoke solutions, special equipment for HoReCa (Leisure) channel, pop up stores and festival areas. Manage POSM inventories in all warehouses, prevent out of stocks, optimize inventory levels to manage warehouse costing.
  • Drive the multicategory innovative visibility solutions with focus on RRP, while collaborating closely with Combustibles Marketing Teams, Commercial Strategy, Retail & Chain Sales Team. Strengthen the relationship with retail partners, by contributing to Trade Shows and Trade Partnership events, being responsible for RRP representation & experience at those.
  • Manage the responsible brand budget, ensure the maximum ROI for each project. Review budget phasing throughout the year in line with Local/Global requirements, in close collaboration with Finance.

 

Qualifications & Experience

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field.
  • 6-8 years’ work experience in Marketing or Trade marketing Roles.
  • Experience & understanding of USA consumer is essential.
  • Fluent English.
  • Strategic and critical thinking, Influencing, Communication, Collaboration, Leadership, Curiosity, Self Starter. Excellent knowledge of MS Office (especially PowerPoint and Excel).
