The development of novel Products within JT Group leads to a workload expansion of the SRA S&H Data Analysis team, who is facing increased demand to conduct statistical analyses on test data generated to support new product launches, regulatory submissions, and registrations. In this role you will be responsible for performing assigned data science tasks to support the long-term SRA Data Analysis team effort in maintaining and further developing the current SRA big data platform, including dynamic dashboarding and machine learning capabilities.

 

Position


As a Data Science Manager, you will:

  • Be responsible for the proper handling of data throughout the SRA Big Data platform
  • Be responsible for running syntax in Python/R/SAS to produce appropriate content of all data outputs (e.g., Tables, Figures) requested by any stakeholder within SRA and beyond
  • Be responsible for the use of appropriate scientific/statistical methodologies and for the outputs produced on behalf of the SRA data analysis team
  • Collaborate and build strong, sustainable relationships with internal/external partners
  • Challenge the status quo, be open-minded, maintain current knowledge and continuously learn new developments in the data science statistical area

 

Requirements:

  • MSc degree in data science and/or statistics is preferred 
  • Minimum of 2 years as data scientist and/or statistician with demonstrated use in machine learning prediction
  • MS Office (e.g., Word; Excel; Powerpoint)
  • MS Azure (e.g., Azure functions, DevOps), Databricks, PowerBI
  • Python/R/SAS langage scripting 
  • Ability to work autonomously and proactively, confidence to make decisions
  • Communication skills - ability to communicate in a non-technical and business-friendly manner
  • Excellent analytical and organisational skills, with attention to detail
  • Passion in technology, can-do attitude, innovative thinking  
  • Relationship-building skills and team spirit
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal, and other languages would be a plus

 

How we'll reward you:

In return, we offer a competitive salary of £65.000- 71.000 per annum, dependent on experience and a car allowance of £7,611 per annum.
