Projects Engineer

This role is essential to ensuring the successful completion of onsite projects and strong coordination with all factory functions. Position:
As a Projects Engineer, you will:
- Determine and define project scope of work and deliverables and align with all collaborators
- Coordinate, manage, and direct construction projects from start to finish and monitor progress in detail
- Lead the implementation of multiple projects within time, budget, quality, and safety standards
- Manage project build, BOQ, tendering, contractor selection, contracting, and claims
- Negotiate with external vendors to secure profitable and compliant agreements
- Determine required resources including labor, equipment, and materials while considering budget limitations
- Coordinate site layouts and drawings across Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical fields
- Review and approve contractor technical submittals and workshop drawings
- Secure necessary permits, approvals, and regulatory prerequisites before execution
- Ensure work is completed in line with construction and safety codes as well as JTI guidelines
- Identify and mitigate project risks through detailed method statements and risk assessments
- Support factory benchmarks and contribute to continuous improvement of EHS, Energy and Quality systems
- Ensure compliance with the JTI code of conduct, legal requirements, and all internal standards
Requirements:
- BSc in Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering
- 3+ years of experience in site project management
- Strong project management knowledge
- PMP certification is a plus
- Excellent Arabic and English (spoken and written)
- Very good computer skills (MS Office, AutoCAD or similar)
- Strong communication and influencing abilities
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Very good planning, scheduling and inspection capabilities
- Solid data analysis and reporting skills
- Ability to balance multiple priorities and commitments
