Demand Planning Manager

As the Demand Planning Manager in the area of Supply Chain, you will be doing the following:

  • End-to-End Sales and Operations Planning Ownership: You will lead and coordinate the monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process to align demand, supply, and inventory plans, while serving as the main point of contact for S&OP-related topics in close collaboration with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, and external partners. You will ensure that S&OP meetings are consistently well-planned, prepared, and conducted in a structured and timely manner, consolidate inputs from key stakeholders into a clear and consistent demand and supply outlook, and support management decision-making by highlighting key risks, opportunities, and recommended actions.
  • Demand and Market Monitoring: Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales trends and proactively adjust demand plans as needed. You will apply appropriate buffer logic based on factors such as volatility, growth trends, and supply constraints, while incorporating relevant market and competitor intelligence—such as brand re-entries, pack changes, and regulatory developments—through active collaboration with Marketing and Sales. You will also apply scenario-based forecasting (base, optimistic, and conservative) to support planning decisions across key brands and packs.
  • Forecasting, Inventory and Risk Management: Act as the owner of the rolling monthly forecast, ensuring strong alignment across Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain. You will track and explain forecast accuracy (M-1 and M-3), identify root causes of variances, and define appropriate corrective actions. You will also monitor key inventory and performance indicators, including inventory evolution (MMu), Days Inventory Outstanding (DIO), understock and overstock risks, and slow-moving, end-of-life, or expiry-sensitive SKUs. You will proactively identify and escalate risks, providing clear and actionable mitigation proposals.
  • Syste-Driven Planning, Reporting, and Decision Support: You will use IBP and SAP as primary planning and reporting tools to support demand forecasting, enhance supply visibility, and inform management decision-making. You will ensure that demand plans, inventory visibility, and shipment information are system-based, accurate, and consistently maintained. You will also develop and maintain standardized planning and reporting outputs—such as inventory status, forecast accuracy, and supply risk reports—derived from IBP and SAP, while actively supporting system improvements, testing, and the continuous enhancement of planning and reporting capabilities.
  • Write-Offs, PQF and Destruction Process: Take ownership of and coordinate the write-off lifecycle for Finished Goods (FGs) and NTMs in close alignment with Finance. You will manage Product Quality Failure (PQF), destruction, and trade return processes end-to-end, ensuring they are handled accurately and efficiently. You will also proactively identify potential write-off risks early and ensure proper provisioning is in place in line with JTI policies.
  • Tax Stamp Planning and Compliance: You will also take ownership of the end-to-end tax stamp process, covering forecasting, ordering, receipt, consumption, and reconciliation. You will ensure full compliance with JTI global standards for SAP entities, while maintaining accurate SAP postings, movement types, and master data. You will establish reliable monthly reporting on stamp consumption, balances, and future requirements, implement appropriate risk controls to prevent shortages or discrepancies, and ensure the tax stamp process is properly documented and integrated into the Indirect Tax Manual.
  • Continuous Improvement and Governance: Identify, propose, and implement improvements to planning processes, tools, and reporting to enhance overall effectiveness. You will thoughtfully challenge assumptions and inputs where needed, helping ensure plans are realistic and well-informed. You will also drive simplification, standardization, and automation wherever possible to improve efficiency and consistency.
