Commercial Strategy and Performance Manager

 

As the Commerical Strategy and Peformance Manager in the area of Sales, you will be doing the following:

 

  • You will design and implement relevant KPIs aligned with M&S operations, with a focus on sales productivity, efficiency, and return on investment. You will help establish scalable and automated performance‑tracking systems that support consistency and ease of use, while continuously reviewing and refining metrics to ensure they remain aligned with evolving business priorities and market dynamics.
  • Conduct in‑depth analysis of commercial performance across different business cycles, including monthly, quarterly, and seasonal reviews, covering sales results, trade programs, and channel effectiveness. You will identify trends, gaps, and opportunities across execution to support stronger commercial outcomes, and benchmark performance against internal targets and relevant industry standards.
  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights that support senior stakeholders in decision‑making. You will provide strategic recommendations to improve sales force effectiveness, territory planning, and promotional ROI, and support planning discussions through scenario modeling and predictive analytics.
  • You will work closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and BI teams to align on shared performance goals and priorities. You will present insights and recommendations through executive‑level reports and dashboards, and act as a trusted advisor during commercial planning and strategy discussions.
  • Lead initiatives to improve data quality, reporting accuracy, and analytical capabilities across the organization. You will help champion a data‑driven culture within the sales team and monitor the impact of implemented strategies, adjusting approaches as business needs continue to evolve.

In this role, success means you are able to turn data into clear, meaningful insights that truly support better commercial decisions. You build performance measures that teams trust and use, provide analysis that helps improve sales productivity, efficiency, and ROI, and share recommendations that are easy to understand and act on. You collaborate well with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and BI partners, and are seen as a reliable, valued advisor in planning and strategy discussions. Over time, your work helps strengthen performance tracking, improve commercial outcomes, and contribute to a more data‑driven way of working across the organization.

 

Who are we looking for?

 

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in sales performance, commercial analytics, or strategy roles, ideally within complex or fast‑paced business environments.
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to clearly present insights and build effective relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Well‑developed analytical skills, with hands‑on experience in KPI tracking, performance reporting, and digital or commercial analytics.
  • A solid understanding of FMCG sales cycles, trade dynamics, and ROI measurement, or demonstrated experience working in similar commercial contexts.
  • Proficiency in data visualization and analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau, SQL, and Excel, or comparable tools used to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Strong command of the English language, both written and verbal, to support clear, confident, and effective communication.
