Financial Planning & Analysis Associate

The position is responsible for delivering comprehensive cash flow and liquidity management support, covering Free Cash Flow reporting, forecasting, consolidation, and performance monitoring. The incumbent must have solid experience in cash flow analysis, financial controlling, and reporting, and be capable of providing accurate, timely, and business‑relevant cash insights to management and key stakeholders. He/she ensures the reliability of cash flow processes and forecasts, and delivers actionable analysis that strengthens liquidity, enhances working capital efficiency, and supports sustainable business operations.

 

As the FP&A Associate in the area of Finance, you will:  

  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly and quarterly Free Cash Flow (FCF) reports, including Latest Estimates and Annual Plans, to provide clear visibility into cash performance versus plan. Perform detailed variance analysis to identify key drivers of cash movements, explain deviations, and support management in taking informed decisions to protect liquidity and support business objectives.
  • Perform entity-level cash flow consolidation, including intercompany eliminations and reconciliations, to ensure reliable and consistent group-level reporting. Collaborate with local finance teams to validate inputs, resolve discrepancies, and maintain data integrity, enabling accurate consolidated cash flow insights for management and corporate reporting.
  • Support short-term cash forecasting and liquidity planning by assisting in the preparation and review of rolling cash forecasts. Work closely with cross-functional teams to challenge assumptions, validate projections, and ensure forecasts reflect operational realities, enabling proactive cash management and effective decision-making.
  • Monitor and analyze working capital drivers (such as receivables, payables, inventory, and other cash flow levers) to assess liquidity risks and opportunities. Proactively identify trends, highlight potential cash constraints, and propose optimization actions that improve cash conversion, strengthen liquidity position, and support sustainable business operations.
  • Ensure cash flow reporting and consolidation outputs align with JTI accounting, including providing accurate and timely financial inputs for government reporting to MIC and DICA. Coordinate with accounting, tax, and other relevant teams to ensure reported cash flow information is consistent, compliant, and fit for regulatory submission.
  • Manage various tasks and projects as they arise and upon manager’s request.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • 3–5 years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Financial Controlling, Consolidation, or a similar finance function
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Functional skills: 
    • Cash Flow Analysis and Forecasting
    • Financial Consolidation and Reporting
    • Financial Modeling and Variance Analysis
    • Strong understanding of Accounting Principles
    • ERP systems experience (SAP preferred)
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and familiarity with Power BI or similar reporting tools
    • Experience translating financial data into actionable business insights
