Legal Manager
In the role of Legal Manager you will ensure the entity's compliance with local laws, manage legal risks, and oversee contracts and disputes. You will provide legal advice to support business decisions while protecting the company’s interests.
Position:
As the Legal Manager, in the Legal department, you will:
- Act as legal lead for contract drafting, review, negotiation and advise including sales, manufacturing, licensing, marketing, storage, distribution contracts, employment etc
- Engage with Marketing & Sales functions on marketing initiatives and advise, review, and draft marketing and consumer activations-related contracts
- Analyze legal risks as pertinent to complex projects associated with competition law, IP process improvement, local expansion, or product development
- Prepare timely updates on industry laws & regulations to ensure streamlining of commercial decision-making process
- Ensure efficient management of external counsels
- Prepare legal assessment reports on local expansion & regional business development projects
- Advising on other areas of law as necessary, including competition law, IT, property, marketing, production, consumer protection, and health and safety
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Law (LL.B.) Degree and admitted to the Bar (LL.M. Degree is a plus)
- +7 years experience in General Corporate, M&A, Commercial Law, in-house with an FMCG company or private practice roles
- Fluent English and Arabic
- Strong legal background
- Excellent analytical, planning and problem-solving skills
- Strong organization and project management skills, communication and time management
- Advanced MS Office experience is a plus (i.e., Excel and PowerPoint)
