Tax Manager Egypt
To support JTI's tax operations in Egypt by ensuring compliance with applicable tax legislation, implementing JTI's tax strategies and policies, and managing tax risks related to Corporate Tax and Transfer Pricing. Within the framework of local regulations and JTI's global tax governance, the role is responsible for overseeing tax compliance, supporting tax audits, maintaining effective relationships with tax authorities and external advisors, and ensuring alignment between Global Tax and local business functions. The position contributes to safeguarding JTI's interests, minimizing tax risks, and ensuring the timely and accurate fulfillment of all tax obligations in Egypt
Position:
Tax Compliance & Governance
- Ensure compliance with Egyptian tax and transfer pricing regulations by coordinating and executing key processes, reviewing contracts and transactions, and providing practical tax guidance to the business.
Tax Reporting & Controls
- Manage the preparation and timely submission of tax returns and reporting (CIT, TP,VAT,WHT, etc.), ensuring accuracy, robust controls (including JSOX), and alignment with local tax accounting policies.
Tax Audits & Disputes Support
- Coordinate tax audits and interactions with tax authorities, including preparing responses, documentation, and supporting administrative and judicial proceedings in collaboration with the Tax Manager and legal advisors.
Regulatory Monitoring & Implementation
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess implications for the business, supporting the implementation of required updates and ensuring internal processes remain compliant.
Business Support & Project Contribution
- Provide tax input to business and cross-functional projects, support tax risk identification and mitigation, and deliver relevant reporting and analysis to the Tax Manager Egypt , HQ, and internal stakeholders.
Requirements:
- University degree in Finance and/or Accounting and/or Tax.
- Minimum 6 years of progressive experience in taxation, including corporate tax compliance, tax reporting, tax audits, and transfer pricing.
- Knowledge of Egyptian tax legislation, including Corporate Tax and Transfer Pricing regulations.
- Understanding of international taxation principles.
- Knowledge of accounting and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in MS Office and experience with SAP and 1C.
- English fluent.
