Strategic Insights Manager
Reporting to the Strategic Insights Lead, this role contributes significantly to promoting consumer centricity and deepening consumer insights within the Marketing and Sales teams, focusing on the RRP category. The successful candidate will demonstrate sharp business intuition and a data-driven approach to integrate data and trends. As a trusted collaborator, you will support cross-functional teams in forming robust strategies and impactful programs that improve JTI’s competitive standing.
Position:
As the Strategic Insights Manager, you will:
- Lead the end‑to‑end Egypt Research Agenda, aligning projects to strategic goals and market opportunities
- Continuously review and evolve research methodologies, adopting creative strategies and optimizing agency partnerships and budgets
- Apply rigorous quality controls to ensure data accuracy and challenge partners to use outstanding methods
- Build performance measurement frameworks to evaluate D2C initiatives, events, activations, trade programs, and communications
- Provide market and consumer insights to support portfolio strategy, pricing decisions, performance reviews, and arguments
- Collaborate closely with Marketing, Sales, Finance, and engage regional/HQ counterparts to enable data‑driven decisions
Requirements:
- Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
- 3–5 years of research experience within FMCG or a multinational organization
- Strong expertise in qualitative/quantitative research, pricing studies, and retail audits
- Advanced skills in PowerPoint and Excel; proficient in Microsoft Office
- Advanced analytical and data interpretation skills; ability to translate business needs into research objectives and actionable insights
- Solid project management, with high self‑discipline; effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Proficient in English
- Attentive to specifics, adaptable to complexity, creative, and collaborative
- Desirable: multi‑market experience, familiarity with international brands, knowledge of the tobacco industry, background in pricing research, and good understanding of Marketing & Sales
