Consumer Activations Associate - Retail
Be part of the ambitious team at JTI as a Consumer Activations Associate in Retail in Cairo. You will be responsible for leading and implementing high-impact in-store consumer activations in-store & shop-in-shop, ensuring perfect retail operations, and driving trade marketing excellence across owned retail outlets and shop-in-shop environments. The role focuses on delivering premium consumer experiences for heated tobacco products, ensuring consistent brand visibility, operational efficiency, and ambassador performance to achieve commercial and brand objectives.
Position:
As the Retail Consumer Activations Associate, you will:
- Coordinate daily in-store operations to ensure seamless consumer engagement and brand experience
- Manage, train, and motivate a team of Brand Ambassadors and Retail Staff to deliver consistent, high-quality interactions
- Establish and supervise standard operating procedures (SOPs) to uphold retail excellence and adhere to regulatory guidelines
- Ensure point-of-sale readiness, product availability, and accurate display in line with brand guidelines
- Plan, coordinate, and complete consumer activation campaigns within retail and trade environments
- Ensure all activations provide outstanding consumer experiences aligned with brand values and conversion objectives
- Monitor and evaluate performance metrics to consistently improve the quality of execution and value
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Sales, Trade, and Operations) to ensure alignment and flawless rollout
- Implement trade merchandising plans to improve product visibility, brand presence, and sell-out performance
- Collaborate with Trade Marketing teams to tailor national campaigns to local market conditions
- Ensure consistent implementation of POS materials, planograms, and promotional displays in all retail touchpoints
- Perform routine store inspections and competitor assessments to maintain a competitive advantage and adhere to brand guidelines
- Drive brand activation excellence across own retail stores and shop-in-shop channels
- Guarantee that all retail experiences reflect the brand’s premium positioning and visual identity
- Work together with imaginative and experiential marketing teams to actualize innovative concepts at the point of purchase
- Collect consumer feedback and insights to improve future activation strategies and enhance customer happiness
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in English is required
- 3–5 years of experience in marketing retail operations, trade marketing, or consumer activations (preferably within FMCG, tobacco, or lifestyle industries)
- Shown a history of leading retail teams and delivering activation programs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Understanding of retail benchmarks, merchandising principles, and brand execution standards
- Willingness to travel and work on-site during activations and retail events
