Under the supervision of the Financial Controller Director, the incumbent will be responsible for assisting the accounting team with performing monthly closing and financial reporting activities for multiple entities.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Using standard templates, timely and accurately recording journal entries in SAP
  • Reconciling general ledger accounts to ensure complete postings during the period
  • Calculating royalty amounts based on transaction data from SAP
  • Generating Statistics Canada / Health Canada reports based on financial reporting results
  • Reporting selected financial information to the Corporate via template-based internal system

 

Qualifications & Experience

 

  • Post-secondary education with a focus on accounting
  • Accounting designation (or working towards) is an asset
  • Knowledge of SAP (or similar ERP system) is an asset


 

Skills, Competencies & Languages

 

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent numeracy skills
  • Well organized, detail oriented and works well under pressure
  • Good time management and prioritization skills
  • A team player with a proactive, can-do attitude
