POSITION PURPOSE

The successful candidate works under the leadership of the finance controlling and accounting Managers as he will prepare monthly reporting on accounting areas, review daily payment with the accounting manager and participate in special projects including accounting processes improvements, and support the annual audit, Tax preparation.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:  

The Senior Accountant will carry out assigned responsibilities, included, but not limited to:

  • Day-to-day General Ledger operations: journal entries, accrual calculation, balance sheet reconciliations, fixed assets, month-end closing, intercompany reconciliations, various reports’ preparation and analysis.
  • Review payment journals prepared by the staff accountant
  • Review and submit daily required reporting
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet and Profit & Loss including expense variance analysis.
  • Ensure accuracy of financial statements in accordance with IFRS and compliance to internal policies.
  • Assisting as one of the main point of contacts in the Company's annual audit of financial reports with the external auditors.
  • Interface with management in various departments, including, costing, finance.
  • Cross-training on all accounting areas and other areas of the business including finance, Tax, inventory and operations.
  • Supports a Team Leader in any additional activities such as projects coordination and ad hoc requests.

REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or related field
  • 5 to 7+ years of experience in similar position.
  • Strong technical accounting background and knowledge of IFRS;
  • Team player and have ability to work independently;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
