WHAT THIS POSITION IS ABOUT - PURPOSE

 

Under the supervision of the Warehouse Manager, the Fleet Coordinator is responsible for the overall operation and performance of the current Lifting & Transport Equipment. The Fleet Coordinator drives implementation of company best practices in alignment with  goals and objectives to deliver a well-managed and maintained fleet.

 

WHAT WILL YOU DO - RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Fleet (110 forklifts and loading equipment), including repairs, preventative maintenance, vendor management, parts and supply, and implementation of policies and procedures are carried out in a manner consistent with fleet policies and directives. Ensure all contracts are reviewed on a regular basis and are bid out as required and confirm invoices match contract pricing. 
  • Compile information necessary to ensure all site-specific documentation and reports are completed accurately and on time, including (and as applicable): Emergency Procedures, Safety Meeting Log, Contract Files, Forklift Safety Checks and Month- end Performance Report and other reports and documentation as required.
  • Provide information and reports necessary for the development of yearly capital budgets. This includes contributions towards a five-year plan of maintenance, facility and fleet improvement, and cost reduction initiatives. Prepares budgets, financial reports (monthly and quarterly), contracts, expenditures and purchase orders related to the factory as directed. Analyze running cost of fleet vs established targets and ensure improvement programms developed
  • Develop set-up for fleet maintanance process, ensure SP and maintanance plans are up to requirements of operation. Ensure no lack of fleet resources to support operational process. KPIs - fleet utilization, safety of fleet operations resulting from daily audits, batteries charding process
  • Proactively inspect the fleet, facility, systems, rooms, common areas, etc. and report back any findings or issues to the Warehouse Manager

 

 

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR - REQUIREMENTS:

  • Diploma or relevant qualification in Fleet Managent Prefered 
  • Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience. Experience in equipment maintenance and Work Order Management preferred.
  • Good computer skills (MS Windows & MS Office, preferably advanced MS Powerpoint / Excel skills) 
  • Excellent computer and systems knowledge; strong literacy in Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong discipline of financial management including financial tracking, budgeting and forecasting
