Business Technology Services PLM & DAM Processes Lead

 

Position purpose:

 

The Business Technology PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) and DAM (Digital Artwork Management) Processes Lead is the senior, lead IT position responsible for the end-to-end integration and management of PLM and DAM processes. He/she owns all IT related services & systems falling under these processes. The position is focused on standardization and optimizing business processes through liaising on a regular basis with several Operational Business Management leaders to understand competitive challenges and improvement needs. He/she then advises the Operational Business Management on process- and technology related programs and projects that adds customer value and/or business benefit, gives input to provide integration of core business processes, is accountable to judge the appropriate IT solution or service in support of business objectives, then leads and/or influences all IT delivery.

 

What will you do – responsibilities:

 

  • Act as "Head of IT" supporting a business process responsible to lead and oversee all IT related matters with and "end-to-end" IT service delivery mindset. This includes 'one face to the business' in non BTS related issues (network performance, SAP development, etc.).
  • Work directly with all key players and leadership teams to fully understand the business plan for the end-to-end processes.
  • Judge and advise leaders of involved in processes on technologies and/or IT services available to support integration and drive value.
  • Senior IT point of escalation for the business process for any IT related matter.
  • Manage the interdependencies between business initiatives requiring integrated- or shared IT services.
  • Advise the business of the latest JTI IT trends and services, including also briefings on the technology industry trends relative to our JTI business (FMCG, Manufacturer). For example, Speed to Customer, Integrated Demand Planning.
  • Proactively pursue innovative solutions, in the area of both business processes and information technology, to enhance efficiency/effectiveness.
  • Senior IT Lead responsible to access, deploy- and steer the necessary IT resources to successfully deliver business initiatives (e.g. upgrade or deployment).
  • Represent IT on Operating committees of major initiatives.
  • Act as single and most senior point of escalation for the management of IT related issues and/or topics across affecting a process integrity.
  • Define and manage IT performance KPIs (e.g. Incident trends, change request backlog, etc.) relevant to the business process.
  • Track and influence the performance of all/any IT related services relevant to the function (e.g. NPD-New Product Development, DAM Enhancements, etc.).
  • Work with several business functions to eliminate satellite applications and manage integration of IT services & systems across a process.
  • Ensure that the creation and management of JTI's overall corporate IT vision and strategy reflects the requirements and priorities of the business.
  • Ensure relevant business process leaders are fully aware of- and understand the JTI IT vision and strategy.
  • Ensure application of corporate IT systems change management policy (any/all global system changes above $10,000 spend or 10 person days effort, must be approved by the BT-PL).
  • Drive cost avoidance through the alignment as much as possible to corporate application standards
  • Ensure Global Reference Model (GRM) governance for all global applications in his area and guard process standardization (e.g. NPD within R&D) and in the same time ensure that legal/statutory requirements are met.
  • Decrease technology risk and reduce cost through following corporate IT technology standards and guidelines.
  • Ensure own team fulfills IT budget commitments.
  • Track and/or manage business budget related to technology spend (as agreed with relevant business leaders).
  • Ensure a consistent application of computer controls that support financial audit requirements, for example, fulfill legislative archiving requirements of corporate data.
  • Ensure IT systems falling under J-SOX scope fulfil audit requirements.
  • Ensure compliance to corporate IT security policies, procedures and standards to ensure consistent protection of information assets of the business process.
  • Ensure compliance to the corporate IT change control procedure which is a global IT J-SOX control (e.g. any application change move to a production system must be signed off by a BTS member based on successful IT- and business testing evidence; for example, for SAP, a full 'transport to production' matrix is defined indicating who in BTS approves changes to SAP production).
  • Implement the appropriate organization design of IT personnel that ensures clarity and accountability for attaining business goals and targets, and cost effectiveness overall.
  • Optimize the IT culture working at the engagement cold-face with the business, seeking to obtain maximum collaboration.
  • Implement performance management processes with corporate best practice.
  • Direct participation in the recruitment, coaching and Dialogue process of own key team leads.
  • Align fully to HR best practices on reward and recognition structures with corporate best practice, encouraging best behaviors in support of achieving business results.
  • Lead succession and personal development of own IT personnel, promoting intra- and inter team succession, including integration into corporate projects and/or business roles.
  • Ensure team members achieve and maintain necessary technology skills required to design, build and maintain relevant IT systems, within scope of IT competency (e.g. staff are responsible to configure SAP PLM or DAM).
  • Manage external vendors, contractors and/or outsourced staff.


Who are we looking for – requirements:

 

  • University Degree in Computer or Technical Science or strong IT background, plus additional business education
  • 7-10+ years of IT senior management (including people management) with more than 10 years of overall experience in IT discipline. Preferred background employment experience would be in multinational companies.
  • Advanced English.
  • Adequate knowledge of technology, which is standard within JTI, such as Microsoft solutions, local and wide area network, telecommunication, SAP PLM or ERP, Opentext Media Management (OTMM) and OpenText Appworks business process analysis.
