Cell Lead (Production Supervisor) - Montreal (18-month contract)

Position Purpose

Working with the Process Lead and the Maintenance Lead, the cell lead (Production supervisor) will be responsible for the application of IWS (Integrated Working System) processes and the development of action plans with the team in order to achieve short- and medium-term targets.

Responsibilities

• Oversee results of the assigned cell
• Organize production cell work using IWS principles
• Oversee production machine safety, quality and productivity
• Set short-term (24 hours) and medium-term (90 days) priorities
• Develop action plans with the production cell team
• Allocate resources to support production plans
• Oversee IWS processes
• Ensure employee training and development

Qualifications and experience

• Technical DEC and/or bachelor’s degree or relevant experience
• Minimum of 3 years’ professional experience in a production department
• Experience in production optimization processes (TPM, Six Sigma, Kaizen, SMED)
• Excellent technical understanding of production machines
• Computer literacy - MS Office environment (Project, Excel, PowerPoint)

• Ability to learn and adapt quickly in different situations
• Technical skills and familiarity with production environments
• Ability to work under pressure
• Excellent communication skills
• Highly organized
• Positive attitude and ability to work in a team
• Good judgment in prioritizing tasks
• Functional French and English
