Key Account Manager – Ontario Region, Head Office, Mississauga
The Key Account Manager role provides a key support function within Sales that aids in the development and growth of our corporate Share of Market (SOM) and volume targets. Responsibilities include but not limited to: National & Regional Key Accounts, Wholesale (WPP), Global Travel Retail (Duty Free), business development, and ROI analysis. In addition, the candidate will assist with the implementation of the Know Your Customer (KYC) and Know Your Supplier (KYS) protocol.
Position:
As a Key Account Manager, you will:
- Be responsible for the management and negotiation of National & Regional Key Account contracts in an effort to increase market share with a strong focus on joint business planning and maximizing ROI.
- Work closely with internal legal counsel to ensure that any contractual agreements are both legal and within JTI code of conduct guidelines.
- Provide quarterly business analysis to Key Account partners to help drive mutual growth. Present annual Key Account plans to JTI senior management.
- Work closely with regional sales management team to develop strategies and provide necessary support for sales teams. Includes, but not limited to, timely communication of agreement / program status, list and set up auto-distributions of new SKU's, address compliance, and aid in tactical program development.
- Lead our Duty-Free business for Canada. Responsible for management and negotiation of our agreements at land border and airport locations. Provide pricing program recommendations to help drive SOM. Present business reviews on annual basis during the national duty-free convention.
Requirements:
- University degree or college diploma in business- or business-related field
- 5+ years of relevant business management experience
- Fluency in English language is required, French language is an asset
- High level of understanding of disciplines required to operate, support and manage the Key Account functional responsibilities.
- Competencies required include high level knowledge of the tobacco industry across Canada, with an advanced skill set of sales negotiation, fiscal budget management and the ability to foster strong business relationships.
- Strong organization and communication skills, along with sound knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Comfortable to interact with customers at trade events and present in large group settings.
