Forecasting & Analysis Manager – Head Office, Mississauga 

 

JTI Macdonald Corp. is seeking a talented and motivated Forecasting& Analysis Manager with a strong analytical mind and proficiency in data modeling to join our dynamic team. As a Forecasting & Analysis Manager, you will play a critical role in the analysis and interpretation of complex datasets, ensuring robust data modeling practices supported by strong assumptions to drive informed business decisions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, commercial planning, field Sales, brand team, Excom, IT, and external data scientists, to identify opportunities for data-driven insights and provide actionable recommendations. A good understanding of data structure and proficiency of Power BI, building insightful dashboard is necessary.  

 

Position:

 

As a Forecasting and Analysis Manager, you will

  • Support the business planning processes such as the DPM, Mar OL, Jun LE and A&SP, ensuring timely performance updates, in-depth analysis and data driven decision making process.
  • Design, develop and maintain data models to support business requirements, ensuring the accuracy, integrity and efficiency of data structures.
  • Utilize advanced analytical techniques to identify patterns, trends, and relationships within large datasets. 
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business needs, extract relevant data, and provide comprehensive analyses. Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to present key findings and metrics to stakeholders. 
  • Ensure data visualizations are intuitive, insightful, and aligned with business requirements.
  • Implement robust data validation and cleansing processes to ensure data accuracy and consistency. 
  • Perform data profiling and anomaly detection to identify and resolve data quality issues promptly.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of data standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to data modeling and analysis. 
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and propose innovative solutions to enhance data quality and operational efficiency.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business Management, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline. A master's degree is preferred.
  • Proven experience in data analysis, with a focus on data modeling, preferably in a fast-paced and data-driven environment.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Strong proficiency in data modeling techniques, including conceptual, logical, and physical modeling.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau,) to create intuitive and impactful visualizations.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with large datasets while maintaining data integrity.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of data governance principles, data security, and privacy regulations is a plus.
  • Knowledge of SQL and experience working with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL) is a plus.

 

Compensation Package:

 

$110,000.00 - $120,000.00 CAD annually + Bonus Eligibility. 

The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience, skill set, education and training, and other organizational needs.
