Role: Permanent
Process Lead
Process lead is expected to develop both the line team’s technical understanding and the mastery of process control to improve and optimize the production process in terms of efficiency, ergonomics, safety and quality using IWS methodology in the assigned work cell.
As the Process Lead in the area of Make & Pack, you will be responsible for the:
Cell Daily Operation
- Ownership of line systems, including centerline (CL), changeover (CO), change management (CM), and daily management systems (DMSs)
- Expected to develop the operating teams’ technical understanding and mastery of process control.Analytically minded and able to interpret and analyze data
- Entry level position or advancement opportunity for high performing associates
Cell Improvement
- Problem solving on the line, including taking on the role of the line expert in initial problem solving (IPS), unified problem solving (UPS), and standard work processes (SWPs)
- Data analysis, including using the line’s data analytics tools, equipment data systems, and the Run-to-Target (RTT) Accelerator’s suite of reliability data tools
Delivery
- Be the backup for problem resolution to ensure make pack machines are keep delivering the volume on time
- Support machine operation
Environment, Health and Safety
- Ensure health and safety aspects at work and learn about potential hazards, know and maintain required control measures in order to keep the workplace healthy and safe
- Ensure compliance to the JTI health and safety requirements associated with the work hazards, comply with all applicable health and safety rules and procedures as well as the cooperation on the continuous improvement process
- Demonstrate safe behavior, report incidents and near misses to their supervisor, report identified unsafe conditions and behaviors to the supervisor and carry out any measures to eliminate them
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent (preferably Statistics or Engineering)
- 5+ years of professional experience in relevant area
- Problem solving on line and data analysis
- Lean manufacturing and QC 7 tools LEAN
- Computer skills (Ms Office)
- Demonstrated abilities in influencing people, teach, coach and develop others through on-shop-floor interaction
- Identify trends of production data with the usage of statistics and related tools to keep improving safety, quality and productivity
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- English language for effective verbal and written communication is preferred
