Strategic Insights Group Manager
Position Purpose:
The incumbent, working very closely with the Marketing Director will set the strategic direction for the Italy market. The Data & Strategic Insights Lead is responsible for driving data-informed strategies that place the consumer at the center of decision-making. This role combines data governance, analytics, forecasting, market insights, and consumer-centric strategy to deliver actionable intelligence across the business. The manager champions a consumer-first culture while building the structures, processes, and governance needed to guarantee data accuracy, security, and compliance.
Responsibilities:
As the SI Group Manager, you will:
- Data Governance & Management: Develop and implement data governance policies, frameworks, and standards, define roles and responsibilities (data owners, stewards) to ensure accountability for data quality, monitor and improve data accuracy, consistency, and security across platforms, ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, etc.) and internal policies, partner with IT and data engineering teams to ensure robust data lifecycle management.
- Data & Analytics Leadership: Oversee the collection, management, and governance of consumer and market data, ensure data accuracy, quality, and accessibility for business stakeholders, leverage advanced analytics, dashboards, and modeling to uncover trends and opportunities, partner with technology and data engineering teams to optimize platforms and tools.
- Strategic Insights Development: Translate raw data into clear insights that drive business growth and innovation, provide actionable recommendations to leadership across marketing, sales, product, and strategy, conduct deep-dive analysis of consumer behavior, market dynamics, and competitive intelligence, build forecasting and scenario models to support strategic planning.
- Consumer Centricity & Advocacy: Act as the “voice of the consumer” in strategy discussions and planning forums, partner with marketing, CX, and product teams to ensure consumer insights directly influence campaigns, experiences, and product development, lead segmentation, profiling, and journey mapping to deepen understanding of consumer needs, define and track consumer-centric KPIs such as satisfaction, loyalty, and NPS.
- Reporting & Performance Management: Define and monitor KPIs for data quality, data usage, and governance compliance, track and report on business impact of insights-led strategies, continuously evaluate new tools, platforms, and methodologies to strengthen data and insights capabilities.
- Forecasting & Advanced Modeling (ML/AI): develop predictive models to anticipate consumer behavior, market shifts, and business outcomes, leverage machine learning and AI techniques to enhance forecasting accuracy and scalability, collaborate with data science teams to implement advanced modeling into business processes, translate model outputs into actionable insights for strategy, planning, and innovation.
- Collaboration & Leadership: lead cross-functional data and insights initiatives across business units, manage and mentor teams in consumer research, analytics, and data governance, establish governance councils or steering committees to align data and consumer priorities, communicate insights and governance progress to senior executives, ensuring buy-in and adoption.
Requirements:
- University degree in Marketing, Business Administration or similar
- Proven experience in consumer insights, data analytics, or strategy roles as well as a proven track record of leading consumer insight initiatives and influencing strategy
- Strong experience with data visualization and analytics platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Google Analytics). Familiarity with consumer research methodologies (qualitative and quantitative).
- Strong analytical and storytelling skills – able to turn complex data into compelling narratives. Expertise in consumer segmentation, market analysis, and predictive modeling.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities. Strategic thinker with hands-on execution capabilities.
