Tax Reporting and Entity Compliance Manager

 

 

Position purpose:

As Tax Reporting and Entity Compliance Manager you will support the execution of compliance, governance, and reporting activities for JTI's Reduced-Risk Products (RRP) business in Italy, including oversight and governance of approximately €80 million in RRP marketing investment. You will contribute to tax compliance, statutory and corporate reporting, legal entity planning, and internal control activities while helping maintain a strong governance framework aligned with local regulations, JSOX requirements, and global standards. Working closely with Finance, Tax, and external stakeholders, you will contribute to business growth through accurate reporting, sound tax support, and continuous process improvement.

What will you do – responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with Italian tax regulations applicable to the RRP business and provide tax support for business initiatives, contracts and invoicing processes
  • Prepare and support tax-related financial reporting, statutory reporting documentation, reconciliations and analyses to ensure reporting accuracy
  • Support corporate tax reporting activities, including data collection, validation and reporting for tax and legal entity planning processes
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting packages while collaborating with Finance and Tax teams to ensure timely submissions
  • Develop, update, and maintain local policies, procedures, and governance documentation in line with global requirements and JSOX standards
  • Support internal control activities, including JSOX controls, walkthroughs, testing, remediation actions and audit preparation
  • Coordinate with external advisors and auditors, providing documentation and support for statutory, tax and compliance reviews
  • Manage tax payment processes, related accounting entries, reconciliations, and supporting documentation to ensure accurate records and audit readiness

 

Who are we looking for – requirements

  • University degree in Finance; Master's degree in Accounting, Auditing or Taxation is a plus
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Tax, Accounting, External Audit or Tax Consulting within a multinational environment
  • Advanced English and Italian (written and spoken)
  • Strong knowledge of Italian accounting principles, IFRS and Italian tax legislation
  • Advanced Excel skills; SAP S/4HANA experience is highly preferred
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities
  • Proactive, collaborative mindset with a strong attention to detail

Annual Base Salary: Eur 42600 – 58400 gross/year
