Merchandising Associate 

 

 

Position purpose:

 

The role supports the effective execution of JTI’s integrated merchandising strategy by ensuring consistent, high quality implementation of visibility initiatives, permanent assets, POS materials and digital signage programs across the Italian market. Operating as a specialist within the Activation & Merchandising function, the position coordinates external partners and collaborates closely with internal stakeholders - Brand, Sales, Activation and Digital - to enable seamless delivery of all merchandising and visibility activities in line with brand objectives and commercial priorities.
The role is responsible for defining clear implementation guidelines, developing POS communication tools, managing operational workflows, and maintaining accurate data and processes within the merchandising platform. It ensures efficient resource allocation, cost tracking, and analytical support to drive continuous improvement across initiatives. By monitoring market dynamics, competitor activities, and channel best practices, the position contributes valuable insights to strengthen brand visibility, enhance in store execution, and support decision making within the merchandising and activation ecosystem.

 

 

What will you do – responsibilities:

 

  • Follow and support the implementation of the integrated merchandising strategy in line with brands and business objectives coordinating the external Partners and the sales function.
  • Execute the implementation of JTI merchandising asset programs, ensuring consistent in store execution nationwide and collaborating with external partners to identify and deliver efficiency improvement.
  • Define implementation guidelines for visibility tools and product display planograms.
  • In collaboration with the brand teams, drive the definition of the visibility plan and manage the whole process, from planning phase to POSM delivery to Sales Reps.
  • Design and development of new tools of communication to support brand communication at POS (permanent, semi-permanent and temporary POS Materials solution) with the collaboration of the external creative agencies and suppliers.
  • Support the Field Force in the development and implementation of ad hoc projects at Point of Sales.
  • Manage the design and implementation of the Digital Signage Media planning ensuring efficiency and timings aligned with business needs.
  • Drive the alignment of the merchandising platform with the operational needs of all projects defining and deploying enhancements and/or new flows to ensure data quality, secure repository and processes efficiency.
  • Efficiently allocate merchandising resources to the projects performing forecast, cost tracking and control activities.
  • Provide tailored assessment and analysis to support the implementation of the Merchandising projects.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and channel best practices.

 

 

Who are we looking for – requirements:

 

  • University Degree 
  • 2+ years of working experience in similar roles (Trade marketing preferably in FMCG companies)
  • Good project management skills
  • Strong communication skills
